He's a way better finisher around the rim big baby sucks, Amare when he's actually played this year on offense looked ok and can still draw the odd foul.

I still think they could use a big man who can create for himself off the bench, none of Amir/JV/Chuck/Tyler can really do that in fact Amir and JV are purely catch and finish guys and the other two are not really there for offense.

I think the Raptors could use someone like Amare or even Blathce if he ever comes back to the NBA once the CBA season is over.

True, but usually guys like Lou and GV are handling the scoring and creating for the bench crew and Casey usually likes to go small with the guards creating, while the bigs focus on defending.

Blatche is intriguing, though. He's definitely an upgrade center and I would think he would want to help a team in the East.

KG is another rumored to be oon the Raps list if he gets bought out too. Casey used to coach him and would be a nice fit at backup C for just this season.

Big Baby does just fine, and puts in defensive effort. Amare might be a better finisher, but will be a turnstile on defense. Clippers need someone who is, at least, willing to try on D.

And the east is complete shit last time I checked. As long as they are in the east, there is always a possibility in the east. If the nets are a playoff team that eliminates the best team in the east from getting a lottery pick. It's not my franchise player. I'm just a fan. What does the picks have to do with kg's season right now? The nets have a pick this next offseason and will again via the Hawks anyway.

Amare gets dragged a lot in the paint though. He maybe OK on one end, but, those won't make up for the common errors that he'll make on the other end (if he joins the Clippers).

Amare to the Spurs is really f*cking interesting to me. I wonder what Pop will do to him. Reinvent his game knowing that Amare has the knowledge and/or the feel of the will of dominating the game from the past. Imagine if Amare starts becoming more efficient under Greg Pop? Hone his craft. What a story that would make. Greg Pop had experiments/test subjects in veterans before in Michael Finley, Tracy McGrady, Brent Barry and the rest. Some may have failed, but that shows that Pop is interested in using veterans. & for me as one of the fans of superstars in the 2000s--I liked Amare, & to see him possibly team up with the Spurs. Wow.

I'm already excited thinking about it. I'll be shocked if he chooses the Clippers over the Spurs, what a ****ing terrible decision that would be.

The gist of my post: I shitted on Amare, sucked his d!ck & jizzed on ISH.

I think anyone would prefer being bought out like Amare Stoudemire than waived like Josh Smith. It's also the Knicks, who have no expectations other than a top 3 draft pick.

supernova5912
02-16-2015, 04:51 AM
Seriously? Would be a good fit.

They already have David Lee off the bench, who also can only positively impact their team offensively. Lee and Stoudemire sharing the frontcourt would allow teams to easily exploit their poor defense inside. Mavericks, Spurs, or Suns should grab Stoudemire, who can still be quite useful.

I'd only like this move for us if it was understood that Stat would not get playing time in the Playoffs. He could give Duncan some rest in the Regular Season though.

Duncan, Splitter and Diaw are simply much better players. I think even Baynes brings more to the table because he gets all the hustle points and doesn't need the ball to be effective (we have Manu/Patty/Joseph/Diaw to do that in the 2nd unit).

This is the ideal Playoff rotation:

Duncan: 34 MPG
Splitter: 25 MPG
Diaw: 25 MPG

Baynes and Bonner get the garbage time minutes. There's no place for Amare here. :confusedshrug:

:hammerhead:

The Nets have a pick this year, but the Hawks have a right to swap places. So if the Nets end up with a worse record than the Hawks, the Hawks move up and the Nets move down to the Hawks spot. This is from the Joe Johnson trade.

So if the Nets don't make the playoffs, the Hawks get into the lottery.

Dolan gets to save some salary money and more importantly, some luxury tax money.

Amare gives up his Bird rights in free agency, and the Knicks can't send him out in a sign and trade this summer.

Melo with Ex-Dirkies in the East 10 wins.
Felton has barely played. The Mavs also have Parsons and Rondo and Ellis that is a 10 times better supporting cast than Melo had last year or anytime in his entire career, not to mention Tyson has been much healthier this year than last. Melo got 54 wins with those guys just 2 years ago. Not a single other perennial all star on the team and he managed 54 wins with dat. Throw in that Melo is playing on a bum knee has missed a bunch of games and the team is tanking, so they aren't really worried about wins in fact wins would only hurt the team.

Also wondering what ex-mavs players are on the Knicks. Calderon and that's about it.

My nostalgic side wants Amar'e back in the desert where he started. If I didn't have such grim hope of the Suns making the playoffs I would be all over this, but the Suns don't have a need for him right now.

He can still help some teams IF he can stay on the floor and IF you have a defensive anchor to help cover his defensive mistakes. He's still an efficient scorer, is cheap, and would be great in a reserve role of 15-20 mins. The Clippers make a lot of sense to me helping out Blake, and having Jordan their to help clean up mistakes. The Mavs also make sense to me, but I might lose my lunch if he goes to the Spurs. Just the principle behind it. Yuck.
