When that day comes maybe just maybe we will have the next Michael Jordan on our hands.I dont think it will happen in our lifetime i think a babe ruth/wayne gretzky/michael jordan only come around once every 80 years.A lot of you missed out on jordan and im sorry about that.I know you want to believe deep down in your hearts that you got to witness the best basketball player in your lifetime but sadly you missed him.No shots at kobe or lebron but i seen all 3 play and im not a old timer stuck in the 80's or something... he really was way better than them.

Didnt Wilt win MVP and average 37 a game as a rookie? Didnt Magic win FMVP as a rookie?

I would average 37 as a rookie in Wilts time.

lebron and kobe would have averaged 28 as a rookie if they went and stayed in college.

Kareem also averaged 28 ppg in his rookey season.
But now rookies come 1 or 2 years earlier than before 30 years, staying only a year in NCAA, MJ turned 22 during his first season, Kareem was 22 already when he enters the league. Wilt was 23.
Not that it is imposible for some high scoring kid drafted by the worst NBA team to score some 25-28 ppg, so we will see.

Wilt and Kareem are on goat level status so im not shocked they averaged 28 ppg as a rookie.I dont consider bron or kobe as goat level players after watching jordan play. They just dont dominate the game like how he did.Millions of people stopped watching after he retired that should tell you something. The league fell the **** off talent wise til kobe and shaq took over.

Durant's a better individual player. Taller, longer, much better shooter. Automatically more impactful.
Durant doesn't have Pippen and the greatest coach of all time.
Durant does it by himself. Better individual player.

well my post was deleted smh so ill just put it here
Please someone explain it to me.How can you compare someone who averaged 41 points in the a finals and never loss when he got on the big stage to someone who stood in the corner for a whole finals while praying that another ***** would carry him to a ring? How can you compare someone who was always the lead dog on his team to someone who tried to mold his whole skillset/career after another player and got carried to half his rings.
SOMEBODY BREAK THIS DOWN CAUSE I DONT GET IT!Even if you never seen jordan play just look at his stats i mean GOTDAMN!
10x Scoring Leader
14x All-Star
DMVP
He legit should of won MVP 10 times but they didn't want to keep giving him the award
He played pg for like 11 games and got a triple double in 10 out of the 11 games
he scored 30 points for 12 str8 games
(i could name 20 other things he did that no one else has ever done but whats the point you get it)
The man was dominating the league offensively just 12 years ago @ 40 stop acting like he played a lifetime ago.Someone just please explain to me why you feel lebron or kobe are better with a legit reason serious post only....
P.S Kobe has admitted that Jordan is better than him yet people still claim kobe is better.

MJ played on stacked squads with the GOAT coach. Before that he was getting whipped in the first round.
"Dominating the league @40" dude was taking more shots than points...gtfo with this "dominating" bs. 75% of his shots were midrange shots (literally) that he shot in the low 40%'s

It's Lebron's fault that he was good enough to play against men as an 18 year old, and MJ wasn't?
Lebron choked in the finals in '11...but he dragged his team there. Lebron had been to the finals twice by age 26...MJ had lost in the first round multiple times and had never made the finals at age 26

You dont get nothing for "dragging your team to the finals" .He got swept in the finals his 1st time around then stood in the corner for the 2nd one praying that another man would lead him to a ring.....Don't make me shit on lebron i really dont want to but if you keep going ill have no choice but to flame LeBald

you also "Don't get nothing" for getting swept in the first round while you freeze out your teammates.
Making the finals is better than not making the finals. I don't even like Lebron. You're just an idiot and someone needs to check you. Lebron hasn't even finished his career, give it a rest with comparing team accomplishments to guys who have played their entire career. MJ had a stacked squad right around the time when 3 dynasties got too old to compete with him, and he played in a weak east. MJ didn't just wave his dick and get 6 chips. He got lucky, just like anyone who wins a championship...it's a team game.

right because when you average 43 points in a series and get swept vs a Super Stack Larry Bird Led Prime Celtics Team its your fault for losing...O yeah and averaging 5 assist @ SG is "freezing out your teammates"

If you give him all the credit for 6 championships, you have to give him all the credit for losing in the first round 3 straight season, getting swept twice.
If you don't give someone credit for making it through 3 playoff series to the finals, you have a problem.
At the end of last season (age 29) Lebron was 99-57 in the playoffs (63% wins) 2/5 in the finals
MJ at 29 was 69-42 (62% wins). 3/3 in the finals
by the end of Lebrons career, their resumes will be more than comparable

Have all the alts you want. ****ing talk to yourself for days idgaf. You're still a moron.
If you're pushing 40% usg rate and only getting 5 assists you are being a ballhog. If you shoot that much, you should get 5 assists from free buckets when they double team you.

:applause: When are people going to realize MJ was no Wilt? He's not the bar for dominance. Wilt is.
100 points
55 rebounds
26 blocks
21 assists
35 consecutive FGs
MJ's "records" often cited by ESPN aren't even close to the actual records, set and held by Wilt, nor even the next best records... also set and held by Wilt :lol

I have no problem if someone wants to place wilt over Jordan(i dont agree but i can see how someone would).I wont even argue it cause he deserves to be in the convo you never seen me take a shot @ wilt.Same with Kareem but not the copycat rapist or the balding choke artist

I never take a shot at MJ being the GOAT in someone's opinion either, so long as their reasoning does not imply he was more dominant or set a higher standard of dominance than Wilt (like in the OP, suggesting MJ's 28ppg as a rookie is the standard to be broken), or that he was a more influential winner/set a higher standard of winning than Bill Russell.
He was a lesser blend of the two. The most dominant backcourt player ever he's got a case as. And for being one of the most exciting players ever. And despite not being the most dominant nor the winningest all time, his resume is among the highest blend of accolades and championship influence right along side Kareem.
So he's a GOAT candidate IMO. These guys are, all for different reasons:

Now you are left with players like Durant and Lebron who aren't even sniffing Jordan's dominance.
So sad that fans have to talk up the players of their generation because they feel inadequate for not having been able to witness Jordan's dominance.
If the players of today could hold a candle to his airness, we would let you know.
