Wtf. :oldlol:

ESPN sources say Wolves and Nets have discussed deal to send Thad Young to Brooklyn in exchange for KG ... who of course has no-trade clause

Would rather him go to Washington (with Pierce) or LAC (with Doc) at this point, but heading back to finish off his career in Minny would be pretty cool.

he should return to boston instead. Finish where his career started

I guess if he's willing to wave the no trade clause more power to him

Why not just sign Garnett when he expires? I would think that you could atleast get some assets for Thad

Dirty! But true.

But why would Min give up someone with value for a guy who can't barely play 15 min in back to back games. And he is absolutely washed up.

Thad Young has value and Minny could actually get some good young talent for him. Why waste that for the sentiment of bringing KG back? Well, Minnys management is straight hp retarded so it will prob happen

I think they're doing this for the young talent. Wiggins and LaVine. That team needs a real veteran leader.

I was gunna say that there has to be picks involved but Brooklyn ain't got none lol

Why
A couple of reasons.
1. KG started his career there. It would definitely get more people in the seats if he was there.
2. He brings awesome leadership. He has taught Mason Plumlee a LOT. He can teach Wiggins and the rest of their young talent a lot as well.
3. He has a pretty nice big expiring contract.
4. Yeah he may not be the offensive player he was but his defense is still there. The nets a noticeably worse on defense when KG is out of the game. And he is still a solid rebounder for his minutes.

garnett would eat his own mother's heart before he went back to minny. he's said that he has nothing positive to say about the organization. he's gonna get bought out, get picked up by a fringe contender and play like 18mpg before retiring after the season is over.

Even though he's never had anything negative to say about Minny?

And even though he's said he's interested in being a partial owner of the wolves once his career is over?

And why the fuhck would Minny trade Thad Young just to buy-out KG?

saying that you have nothing positive to say about a team that you spent most of your career playing for is a negative in and of itself

of course he could have interest in being a part owner. owning a team and playing for them are 2 different things.

and i meant that he would get bought out by the nets, not minny

A move like this is worth it for the homecoming good will, and to give wiggins a few months of tutelage under someone who knows the kind of attitude it takes to transform an entire team culture.

Pretty much. Plumlee improved a lot, and he himself said its mostly because of Garnett's mentoring. Wolves might have this as one of the reasons to trade for KG.

When Miami misses the playoffs and their pick ends up in the lottery, Flip Saunders will look like the biggest dumb fcuk in the history of the NBA

Trading a lottery pick for KG all while ruining his lottery chances and stunting development of their youth by starting and giving Thad Young big minutes

That's kind of wierd considering Garnett said he wants to buy the T'Wolves one day. I think this is a move in that direction.

why isn't this team moved to seattle yet?

Only in Minnesota. But I can see this being just a move to provide some leadership for the young guys coming up. KG is a solid leader. Just crazy knowing that it was 20 years ago we drafted Da Kid.

Come on home, KG :applause:

I was thinking the same thing, get some KG psycho-ness for Wiggins, turn him into a raw meat eater.

Shrewd move by Minny if they can pull this off. Give KG a front office job next year as incentive.

Big Ticket - still has connections to Flip.
They had gone to war for many years , and I think it is a great thing Flip is doing to bring KD back for his last hurray with the organization.

Stating in no uncertain terms , no hard feelings.

It really comes down to Garnett , because of his family.

If I was the Wolves fans , I would go to the games , to give tribute.

Needless to say his number will be retired in Minny. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Hopefully Marbury re-signs with them as well. I've always wanted to see KG and Steph vs KD and Westbrook...

thad isn't obviously in the Wolves future.

KG is a proven leader. Even as a 15 mpg player, from the bench, is leadership is needed.

Hope this pulled off and KG can play one more year
