Boyhood was so boringly mediocre I was pissed once it was over. Like, I speant $1.50 to rent that bullsh1t from tedbox.

And i wont see Selma because I am not obsessed with race and it looks horrible....

Tell me, for those that enjoyed Boyhood. What made this move great to you? Outside of it causing you to recall your own coming of age and a feeling of some type of nostalgia I suppose. What is this films redeeming quality?

i got pissed at Boyhood. just because some director took ten years to make a film using the same actors doesn't make it great storytelling. yet some people hyped it up just because of the gimmick.

film is mainly about storytelling. the rest are just extraneous. if your film can't tell a good story, it sucks - no matter what gimmicks you employ.

It's a pretty good story with some smart dialogue and good to great acting.
It ain't some kind of a miracle, but in no way is it even remotely close to being bad.

yeah i agree it isn't bad. but the way it was hyped and then watching it was kind of a letdown. and to say it should win best picture in the oscars would be a joke.
