He's no Varejao, but i definitely dont know how far the Cavs can go without much depth. I mean, Tristan Thompson is good, but the Cavs need another big man that will lock down the paint when Mozgov isnt in the game.

...you think this team needs offense why? We need an insurance plan if Mozgov gets injured or gets in foul trouble. Someone who isn't going to make us change the entire defensive gameplan.

What he brings offensively is almost immaterial.

To be an insurance policy? Under normal circumstances he probably won't even see the court. There aren't a ton of guys in the league who are even willing to accept that role. Options are very limited, because the frontcourt rotation has pretty much been set with Love, Mozgov, Thompson and James... Marion if we go small.

Perkins would basically be the third string center behind Mozgov and Thompson.
