Man,

From the positioning of their agents, Draymond Green and Goran Dragic will be seeking maximum contracts or close to maximum this upcoming offseason.

Both are solid players but they are no max earning players. If teams are willing to splurge on solid players, the owners deserve to be raped on the next collective bargaining.

Goran is a good player BUT he doesn't attract fans to the arena nor does he boost any cable ratings. Dragic will never be a player who can push products to be sold or attract additional free agents to the club which max players should be able to do.

I have a sick feeling that he will get a 5 years 90+ million this offseason.

They both will get 5 years 90 million or w/e the max is.

Draymond will sign with Detroit.

Why don't you just post your opinion on the matter and stop with the antagonization?

I've been seeing the Green max rumors popping up since the report surfaced that he wouldn't mind signing in Detroit. I really like what he's done in Golden State thus far but I struggle to come to terms with the idea of him being worth the max at this point.

Ask the question: Do they deserve more money than Hayward did last year?

Only thing possible it's Draymond making some sacrifice in order to win some championship in Golden State. And I don't see that happening.

As sad as it looks, they both will get something, at least, 15M a year.

He's restricted and Golden State has already said that the will match any offer and go into the luxury tax to match.

People keep throwing "max" around.

The Salary Cap is going up 40%-50%.

So a "max" is really the equivalent of a $11m or so a year in today's terms.

If you look at it that way, then probably yes.

I think every team says that. LoL

I love everything about Green's game. The guy brings it every night, is an enforcer, team guy, glue guy, full of intangibles..... But my God at the thought of him signing a 90+ million dollar contract. Reminds me of some of the inflated contracts being doled out in the MLB

Max money is a dumb phrase. In 2 years LeBron/KD are going to sign 5/174M deals.

So Dray for < half that? Seems fine. Especially since the salary FLOOR is going to be 81M and every team is going to be paying anyone and everyone to get there.

Pretty sure Dragic already agreed to a 5/100 extention with Miami.

None of those two are close to being worth the max.

Don't say "max money". Say the amount. What is Dragic's max salary? What is Green's?

Everybody's max is different. For example, your max might be 4 1/2". My max is 8". Both the max but very different amounts, right?

So specific what their max is.

This "Is he worth the max" stuff is irrelevant because its for like one year until the cap hike and all these contracts go from overpaid to being good value in comparison to how much they could be paying. What's going to be painful is the first crop of these mid range max guys under the new cap scheme.
