Wizards playing lousy basketball lately

These Wizards are far from a threat in the East playoffs. They're under .500 in their last 30 games and until they show they're better than this they can't/shouldn't be taken seriously. Wall said some players clearly were tired despite the rest. That's telling. The Wizards should be content with a No. 5 seed and trying to get another first-round matchup with the Chicago Bulls. At least they lead that season series and have confidence against them.

Led by All-Star point guard John Wall, the Wizards started 19-6 a year after getting to the second round of the playoffs, sparking talk about their proper place in the East's hierarchy. But since then, they've gone 14-16 heading into Sunday's game at Detroit. And against some of the conference's best, Washington has been at its worst, going 1-8 against Atlanta, Toronto and Cleveland.
