Wow I am browsing netflix and it sucks. Its all cartoons or best case scenario b movie martial arts movies. Only thing pretty funny on there is Its sunny in Philadelphia and that gets repetitive after a while. I would not recommend netflix after my experience.

I JUST watched it yesterday for the first time, and I can say without a doubt it was highly mediocre. And I'm being generous.

Obviously Breaking Bad if haven't watched it.

If have, try Orange Is The new Black, House of Cards, Bates Motel, Portlandia, Louie...

I'm currently watching Jericho and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Jericho is a really good show, got cancelled midway through the second season but it's a very quality show.

pauk, netflix = $12 a month. -_-

Agree with this. At some price point, the advantages of purchase become greater than the time spent downloading media.

Netflix lets you share up to 5 different IP addresses with a $12/month account, at least in the US - may be even cheaper internationally. That's $2.40 a month for unlimited streaming.

Don't have to worry about malware, don't have to physically download any data onto your hard-drive. You don't even need to research what shows you'd like to watch as their suggestion algorithms are top notch. Just skip a big mac this month and gain that weight by lounging on the couch instead.

At least for someone with a job, that's a pretty big incentive. It's also why I'm using Spotify for $10/mo as opposed to downloading entire albums every time something drops.

Idk how anyone can stand watching that show, never made me even smile. Then again, I never have been able to sit through an entire episode...not my cup of tea.

See this is why I couldn't get into it. It's being billed as "Netflix's Game of Thrones" so I was expecting greatness. Sadly, the hype caught up with it. Lasted 1.5 episodes before I gave up.

Marco Polo failed to catch my interest.

Some great shows to watch are Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Walking Dead, Californication, The Office, Parks and Recs, Sons of Anarchy, and Spartacus.

Also check out Cosmos if you're into science. Really awesome stuff.

See, that's why it failed you. You stopped watching 1.5 episodes in. I'll be honest, the first episode or 2 idk how I felt about it, but you get attached to the characters just like you do in GoT.

The Netflix original series are really a game changer. They're the best non-HBO/AMC series to watch these days. I'm looking forward to House of Cards coming back tomorrow.

netflix is ass. I can't believe how little they have. I guess people like to watch TV shows and shit, but there aren't any good movies on there. Or the ones that are, for the most part, are shit everyone has seen like 100 times.

The last good movie I watched on there was Nebraska. Should check that. But in general, it's a bunch of wack shit to pay for. I always say I'm gonna cancel it.

Edit:

uh, what? don't think you're doing it right. So much quality stuff on there.

I dunno man. Maybe dude is like me and wants to get on there and watch a ****ing movie. Or think of a movie they've seen before and find it on there to watch again. The scope of netflix is nowhere near what it should be. I read they were having some issues with securing certain movies, but it's still wack. Just different people, I guess... I thought I was gonna see some movies.

This.

If you wanna obsessively watch every episode of a hundred different shows, Netflix is the place to be.

If you wanna watch good movies from time to time, it most definitely is not. At all.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I mean they do got some pretty good movies on there, and try to get them asap, for example the Interview. But you're right, the reason why so many people have Netflix is for the tv shows.

They got some good older movies but I agree their selection of newer flicks is shitty. But then again, their TV show catalog is too good

ItsMillerTime
02-27-2015, 02:15 PM
Their movie selection is slowly improving. A couple years ago they barely had any new movies at all.

I don't really care about the movies. I download those because they take up less space and I typically only watch them once every 4 or 5 years.

There's a lot of classic movies on there that I've never seen and they have a solid documentary section available for streaming. For the price, Netflix is definitely worth it for me.
