Warriors without him are very beatable. All this nonsense talk of them being "stacked"

It's ok, MVP Steph gets to do business with Westbrook in the 1st round to back up his MVP :pimp:

After the Mozgov/Smith trades, Cavs are 1-0 without LeBron.

Curry clearly MVP.

Without him, the Warriors are still one of the most stacked teams from top to bottom in Association history

Klay also is arguably just as good as Stephen... Similar scoring, more rebounds and he always guards the oppositions best player

Curry is way more deserving for MVP than Harden but let's be real. The MVP is Lebron James. It's not even close if we're being serious and not just jumping on the buzz of a different player stepping his game up like Curry is doing.

Lebron James is clearly the most valuable player in the league. You add him to any team and they become a playoff team. Put Curry on the Timberwolves and they aren't making it to the playoffs.

this. Curry gets credited for leading a stacked team.

Dubs are not stacked.

They have a bunch of players that are exemplary role players. Dray, Barnes, and Bogut are very so-so offensive players. They excel because of the attention Curry draws with his magician dribbling/passing/shooting and Klay's spacing.

They have a lot of well rounded role players, one great player, and one MVP caliber player.

bogut and green are fighting for the defensive player of the year award. Klay is an all star, and lee and iggy were former all stars that can start on any team.

The Pacers are the kind of team that can be a very tough out if you're somewhat shorthanded, road weary or just having an off night. They play hard in every game and they still have a scary team when they get it going.

Remember, that's the team which ended the Cavs' 12-game winning streak a couple weeks back. They're no chumps and if you try to treat them like they are, they'll beat you.

Obviously Steph is key to GSW's success, though. I don't see anyone arguing otherwise. Still don't think he is the best player in the league, which is the guy I have always thought should win the MVP. But, I wouldn't complain if he got it.

Don't get me wrong...i love all the Dubs players. They are excellent. However, they clearly are a sum of the parts team (ala Pistons), more than they are the Spurs, Heat, Lakers, or Celtics of the past decade of champions.

Green and Bogut are great defenders, but their skills are highlighted 100x more because of the Warriors record. You don't necessary know what you will get out of them in the playoffs, except heart and hustle.

The only constants on the team are Curry and Klay. You could replace any other player on the team with any range of players in the NBA and the Dubs would still basically be a top 4 team record wise. Role players earn their money in the playoffs...so we'll see.

Hopefully, Dray is as good in the playoffs as he is now. We need 10 to 12 out of him, 5+ bounds, a few dimes and excellent defense. If he is just missing shots, not making free throws his defense is the only thing keeping him out there.

For the East I am pretty sure it's the Lebron voodoo shenanigans, for the West it's definitely Konex doing work.

Yup. Said this when they played the Bucks a while back, they are much better than their record, they're just really inconsistent and need that alpha dog scorer to carry them when their offense goes stagnant. They are one (all-star) Paul George away from being right back there in the conversation with the East elites. If he comes back strong next season, and they play the offseason smart, they could be contenders again soon.

People underestimate his impact on the court. Teams are literally scrambling on defense the entire time he's in the game. As soon as he's off the court, the Warriors become infinitely easier to defend.

That said, I still give Harden the nod for MVP right now.

If the Warriors can win 70 games it will go to Curry

But James Harden is on pace to win 56 games with Trevor Ariza as his 2nd leading scorer. His team is fcking horrible compared to Curry's.

65 games would still be good enough for Curry.

Again, MVP is not awarded to situational importance. That does get taken into consideration, but certainly isn't one of the main criteria.

MVp is such a bullshit award anyway. Too often does the wrong player end up with the award and if you say Rose, you haven't got an understanding of the award criteria.

If the MVP was awarded to the best player? Rose would of been the wrong choice that year.

That would be Houston.

Because Lebron has Kyrie/Love/JR smith/Thompson

Curry has Thompson/Green/Lee/Bogut/Iggy

Harden has Ariza?/DMo/?/maybe Beverley?/Smith I guess

Westbrook's February: 30/10/8 on 50/40/90

If Durant sits out for a long time and OKC only loses a one to two games before the playoffs, Westbrook could be the darkhorse MVP candidate. He is putting up insane numbers.

The MVP is going to be rewarded to somebody on a team with a Top 3 record, if GSW finish the season 20-9 and get 63 wins, I don't think the MVP is going to anyone other than Curry. So unless Steph goes into a serious slump and GSW underachieve it's a done deal.
