View Full Version : Why doesn't Westbrook run back on defense after he dunks?

He always tries to do some pose or look mean for the fans/camera while walking slow. That's great except when the other team is already sprinting down the other end and he's not doing his job (being a GUARD). OKC fans prob see this more than I do, does this bother you guys? Does it ever erase his own points with a counter-break when he gets careless and fails to run back on D after his own transition bucket?

Because they're up 30.

He doesn't do it close games.

And he always sprints back on D, you just don't watch games and nitpick the stupidest shit because you're a bored Wilt stan

Too Alpha.

Lebron does the same thing. He and Goatbrook are the biggest alpha's in the game. Even if the other team does score on a fast break it doesn't really matter, cause the dunk and stare down have already demoralized the opponent.

It's kinda funny. Russ has more intangibles in his pinky than Wilt did in his massive body.

Wilt was all stats. Russ is all about winning.

Wilt wore Chuck Taylors therefore he was at a disadvantage

This alone is worth an additional 5 extra points in the modern era

It's actually not a ridiculous statement...sure it's hyperbole...but the overall point still stands...60s = weak era. Records should not be compared to modern NBA....Kobe's 82 >>>>> Wilt's 100

JJ Barea is a scrub that had one decent series. Steve Nash in his prime is NOT unathletic for a PG. He would be one of the most athletic PG's in the 60s.

Nash is still a 6 foot white dude who beat out guys like Wade, Shaq, Lebron and Kobe for MVP. :lol

Imagine if Cousy was winning MVPs in the 60s. You guys would be all over that.

Nash was sort of like Tony Parker...not a leaper but he had quickness. Him being white is irrelevant. Nash's athleticism >> Cousy's. Nash's competition's athleticism >>>>> Cousy's

:coleman:

I believe that's the 1972 ASG.

Each squad had 14 players...

On the Western team only West, Goodrich, Cazzie Russell and Jimmy Walker were below 6'6.

On the Eastern team Frazier, Hondo, Hudson, Clark, Jo Jo White, Butch Beard and Van Arsdale were below 6'6.

So, that's 11 out of 28 players who were under 6'6...

And those are mostly legit heights, none of that inflated (or with shoes on) bullshit.
Dudes like Sweet Lou or Cazzie Russell would've been listed at over 6'6 nowadays...
That way you'd only get like 6 players (out of 28) who were under 6'6''.

Westbrook is probably the biggest showboater. He cries and complains. He makes all kinds of dumb gestures and he gets the pass. Certain other players do this and they are lynched on ISH.

Gets a pass? He he has every right to do so and can always back it up with his play. If some chucking scrub like, let's say Reggie Jackson, acts the exact same way it's a different story.
