Lebron also had Shaq as a teammate? "Win a ring for the King" was Shaq's motto. Shaq helped that team win 61 games that season.
Lebron hadn't fully matured and couldn't get it done in the playoffs though despite having a 50-greatest center as his teammate. Damn shame.

Here's the difference between me and you: I really don't care about LeBron James the person I only care about him as a basketball player. The only reason LeBron is my favorite player is because he is the best player in the world....40 years from now whoever is the best player will be my favorite. i will respect LeBron's place in history and all he did for the game but i wouldn't dedicate my existence to crapping on current players to prop him up as you have with Wilt

They're both trolls. Rock or whatever his name is is not a Bulls fan. He doesn't seem to remember basic salient points that punctuated the Bulls' 90's title runs. Anyone who was alive back then or watched them would pick on his alarming lack of knowledge on really simple things that took place back then. Just because someone poses as a Bulls fan, it doesn't make him one. Don't buy the act. He's a Lebron stan.

Unlike Wilt/Oscar etc. we will have all the footage in the world of Lebron kicking behind in modern era basketball from any angle/footage and pace/poss. per game/pool of talent/competition has not changed since the 80s where it reached its peak, so that argument is out of the question aswell.... They will only see a player with his combination of athleticism/size/skill on both ends of the floor overall that has never been seen in basketball before and there never will be again... so, no need, by then people will learn to appreciate how great & how unique he was even more....

Shaq never led the league in rebounding or assists, and only scoring once. He wasn't an elite shot blocker either. Wilt had to go through Russell's dynastic Celitcs, which kept Pettit, Oscar, Baylor and West from racking up rings.

I just finished pointing out that Wilt played against lesser competition and you're gonna completely ignore that and talk about leading the "league"? As if they played in the same level of league?
As for as the shot blocks go: The lack of a 3 pt line back then, inferior athleticism/skill of guards, and lack of as thorough game-planning/preparation led to an inflated number of shot blocks. Had Shaq played in that era there is no doubt in my mind that he would've averaged a similar block tally.

Russell also gets top 4 love, Bellamy was a HOFer who had one of the best rookie seasons ever, Oscar, West, Baylor and Pettit are top 20, Hondo is top 25, Kareem came into the league in 69, Thurmond is top 50 and considered one of the greatest defenders ever, Cowens is in the Hall ... Laz has been over this ground like 2587 times.
I could mention Gus Johnson, but he's been brought up like 82 times already.
So I'll just leave with this:

As for elite shot blocking, Shaq wasn't elite for his own time, so what makes you think he's in Wilt or Russell's class? We're not debating Mutombo or Eaton here.
And Shaq wasn't exactly an elite rebounder either, for most of his career. Wilt was the best rebounder of his generation. Rodman was the best of Shaq's.

And he has 2 titles to show for it? How much help does one man need :facepalm :facepalm
"Playing with all-stars" denotes literally playing with players that are All-Stars during the time you played with them....... which in this case makes most of your list bogus.... and lol @ All D = All-Star....
With this logic 99.99% of the stars in NBA history had more All-stars in their teams.... even Durant who played only 8 seasons has accumulated many All-stars/All-D's/6th MOY in his playing years.... and unlike Lebron, Durant had the luck of playing with those when they were & still are in their absolute best prime, 2 of those Superstars in Harden & Westbrook, even while Harden was with OKC he was THAT superstar good, just like Durant himself said, he just couldnt drop/unleash those numbers due to settling as a 3rd option.... again, from Durants mouth himself.... and speaking of Defense, screw Thabo, but how about Ibaka, thats not just All-D, thats DPOY caliber, at his absolute best....
...and unlike Lebron again, Durant has nothing but 1 MVP to show for it....

It was funny, LeBald fans were saying Kobe couldn't win shit without Shaq, but LeBald couldn't even get to the finals with Shaq in the East:lol . Outside of Kobe, Cavs were a better all around team than the early 2000s Lakers which makes it even more laughable.

OP is straight up trolling. He compares cleveland shaq to prime shaq. Nothing to discuss.
OP does make a valid point. That 2010 Cavaliers team was definitely good enough to come out of the east that year. They had enough serviceable bulk in the middle with Shaq/Varejao, and veteran shooting around LeBron to make a run to the Finals. Lebron just choked hard as fck in the Celtics series. Series tied at 2-2, and LeBron lays one of the biggest eggs ever in his home building, that I've ever seen from a superstar caliber player in that momment.
Reality set in for Bran there, as he realized he needed D.Wade the gawd (who averaged 33-7-5 on 56% shooting against that same Celtics team) to get over that Celtics hump.

Come on, dude. LeBron was the only one who showed up in the PO's in '10.
Shaq averaged 13/5 on 52%, along with terrible defense. They didn't have a good FC. Heck, they didn't have a decent FC. A 38 YO Shaq playing 23 MPG? Dude was beyond washed by then. You should actually watch the games. He was TERRIBLE on defense.
Mo - 13 PPG on 41/21
Jamison - 12 on 42/19
Lets not act like LeBron did't score 27/20/10/3/1 in Game 6. I actually remember doing a PBP on all the plays. The ones which people said were examples of LeBron "giving up" in. 27/20/10/3/1 is a historic night even for ATG's. LeBron's teammates fat out choked and under-performed. LeBron does have his fair share of chokes, but 2010 wasn't one of them.
