2014 - Kawhi Leonard
2013 - Lebron James
2012 - Lebron James
2011 - Dirk Nowitzki
2010 - Kobe Bryant
2009 - Kobe Bryant
2008 - Paul Pierce
2007 - Tony Parker
2006 - Dwayne Wade

Last post player to win was Duncan in '05 (and really that could have gone to Ginobili as well, which would have made it 2 more years of non-post players until you hit '03 Duncan).

Looking at the future, it could be several more years (maybe Anthony Davis?) until we have a dominant big man with a good enough cast to a championship. Thoughts?

Dirk is a PF?
He doesn't count as a post player. Dirk is a long range shooter.

The closest on that list to a post player is really, as I mentioned, Lebron. He's a PG/SF/PF hybrid.

You're an idiot.

Dirk is a post player. As much as Garnett or Anthony Davis.

Dirk vs. Ibaka/Collison :lol

Biggest mis-match in NBA history. Dude had 24 free throws.

Thunder have never had any big men worth a shit.

08-09 was the year Kobe worked with Hakeem and started going to the post more.

Being able to post up =/= being a post player.

Well, at least we can agree that Dirk is a post player, right?

For the most part. Kind of hard not to utilize the post when you're 7 feet.

Kevin Love has range.

Paul Millsap has range.

Chris Bosh has range.

Are they not post players either?

Ibaka? Does he not count? Olynyk?

Change the title to deep post player and it works for everybody. I see your point. It is a reflection of how the game is played now.

you're the idiot if you think Dirk is a post player. he's always been a perimeter big. he's not known for his one-legged fadeaways for nothing.
