While watching the NBA, it's one thing I have learnt over and over again. One can never EVER count out the San Antonio Spurs. They always seem to look too old. They always seem to be done. Guess what? They also seemingly always ALWAYS break the hearts of would be contenders. The Spurs coached by, one of the greatest to ever do it, Gregg Popovich are never out of the hunt. Indeed, they are the quiet hunters sitting in wait and praying that someone is unlucky enough to fall into their trap.

As Rudy Tomjanovich said, in 1995, after his Rockets won the NBA Championship, "We had nonbelievers all along the way, and I have one thing to say to those nonbelievers: Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"

I do laugh when people say that the Spurs can win the championship this year. They are just not good enough this year. Their competition in their own conference is just too good. They have had a great run the Spurs, but watching them you can't help but feel as if they are inferior to their competition. I cannot see them beating Golden State, OKC or Memphis in a playoff series.

theres no ball movement any more, their defense is terrible. they scored 81 pts against utah last night, their offense is no longer effective. im so sad this legendary trio is over.
