O'Reilly also ran down his own colleagues (http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/02/bill-oreilly-brian-williams-falklands-war) when making his claims
During a 2009 interview with a television station in the Hamptons, O'Reilly talked about reporting on the Buenos Aires protest, which he claimed other CBS journalists were too fearful to cover: "I was out there pretty much by myself because the other CBS news correspondents were hiding in the hotel." ("We were all out with our camera crews that day to cover the protest," Schieffer says. "I'd been out there with a crew too.") One of the other CBS reporters took to facebook to dispute this. (https://www.facebook.com/eric.j.engberg/posts/10204873374051471)
I can provide some eyewitness information on this matter because I was one of the correspondents in Buenos Aires with O'Reilly and the rest of the rather large staff of CBS News people who were there "covering" the war. To begin with "covering" is an overstatement of what we were doing. Corn is correct in pointing out that the Falkland Islands, where the combat between Great Britain and Argentina took place, was a thousand miles away from Buenos Aires. We were in Buenos Aires because that's the only place the Argentine military junta would let journalists go. Our knowledge of the war was restricted to what we could glean from comically deceitful daily briefings given by the Argentine military and watching government-controlled television to try to pick up a useful clue from propaganda broadcasts. We -- meaning the American networks -- were all in the same, modern hotel and we never saw any troops, casualties or weapons. It was not a war zone or even close. It was an "expense account zone."

The dispute seems to be that O'Reilly has given the impression that he reported on the Falklands War as combat reporter or was in the combat zone when, in fact, he was in Buenos Aires and no American reporter was in the Falklands for the war. This is the equivalence of covering the Bay of Pigs from Washington, DC.
He did cover a protest in Buenos Aires after the war was lost. He claims the government gunned people down and "many people were killed" during that protest and O'Reilly rescued his injured cameraman from the crowd. However, nobody at CBS remembers an injured cameraman and nobody died at the protest.

You have to remember, Republicans/conservatives/Fox News....they THRIVE on lies. No one cares. GOP politician will say, "Yeah I committed those crimes. The LIBRULS made me do it." And that will make him a hero to conservatives.
So it's odd that people calling out O'reilly, on a network that is almost entirely based on fabrication. lol. He'll never be suspended. This will only help him.

You forgot the biggest lie.
People who call themselves "liberals" actually advocate AGAINST personal liberty. It's like referring to Americans as monarchists.

None of what you said is remotely close to being accurate. And let's say for arguments sake you can muster up a clip of a Republican saying "Libruls made me do it", I can then guarantee you that I could find at least 50 clips of Liberals still blaming Bush and his administration after having control of the White House for the last 7 years!
It's easy for a Liberal buffoon such as yourself to say Fox News fabricates everything. You're a Liberal. Fox News leans Right. Liberals only believe Liberal ideas and scoff at everything else.

This is much more satisfying than the Brian Williams one because of who it is.

Well what are you talking about specifically? Any political term like "liberal" or "conservative" is very broad. Are you saying liberals advocate social programs which infringe on your "Personal liberty"? Elaborate.

Riles is a known liar, he's been caught lying so much in the past this doesn't surprise me one bit. In the end, his loyal fanbase, just like that other blowhard Rush Limbaugh's, won't give two shits about it. They are literally the dumbest elements of American society.
