"Determined on losing."
That's a good quote.
To be honest, I was really tired of borderline playoff teams. Blowing off the building felt refreshing at that time.
It's hard to deal with that thing (not to be mistaken with a team) that we have. And the plan may not pan out in the end. It's certainly risky, as it all depends on nabbing a superstar. From the draft I guess, as I don't see how they would through free agency. That's quite literally playing lottery. There's a risk that we might end up like the pre-2010 Clippers.
But I believe Hinkie did specify a deadline (3-4 years I believe?), so the clock is running. It's not like we were en route for a championship any time soon, so I stand by having taken the risk.

What about stealing Durant or Lebron from their respective teams?
If OKC is afraid Durant will really leave to go to Washington or someone else, would an offer of 6 first round picks and salary nab him?
Embiid
Noel
Durant
Covington
Canaan
Pretty terrible backcourt, but the front court has tons of length and potential.
Just saying... stockpiling draft picks does not mean they have to draft players. And OKC is notoriously cheap. And Lebron has burned Cleveland before.
Sixers have a plan and are actually implementing the first stages. That seems preferable to what the Lakers and Knicks are doing. The Knicks and Lakers seem quite delayed in their rebuilding efforts while the Sixers have some flexibility. All that does not matter if they are able to execute the other steps in "the plan"

If I was Silver, I'd take away their this year's first round pick just for sheer embarrassment they are causing to the league.

Funny how nonsense like deflated footballs becomes such a big deal but no pro league ever punishes or even questions a team for obviously tanking.

what is their plan? eventually draft a "lebron"? lure a superstar player with #1 picks? if it's the latter i don't think any legit superstar player will come to the 76ers anytime soon, cuz it seems like superstars of this generation are looking to win anywhere they go and team-ups are the big thing right now.

WTF? They haven't even had the worst record in the league. Bucks beat them by 3 games last year and the Knicks are worse this year.
Let the team compile some assets for tis future. I don't get why people get so offended.
If u have to ask what the sixers plan is that tells me you don't follow bball. Google the plan. I'll help you out its not luring a superstar to Philly. That was a waste of text on your part.
You fans need to hop off the sixers nutsac. Annoying now. You act like teams haven't lived in the lottery for years.

They have to be losing money. Their attendance is among the worst in the league. Is it worth losing your integrity as a franchise to possibly be good in the future?

I think that report is probably exaggerated but if we deal Embiid for ****ing picks then I'm official done forever. I will jump ship to like Boston or NY just to make sure it's a rival of the Sixers and I'll root for the Sixers to eat shit every year. Straight up jaded ex-girlfriend scorched earth policy.

It's a case of trading deadline a team or teams asked about Embiid. Probably threw offers. Sixers listened and that was it. Media runs with it since the cool thing is Sixers are trading away everyone for picks. I dont put any stock into this report.
