Under. Perkins will only be getting 10 or so minutes per game. He won't play most games in the regular season probably unless it's a blow out or he needs to be in for defensive possessions.

He's a above average defender on the interior. He's not elite or even near the best.

mozgov is pretty far from one of the best interior defenders and perk hasnt been a top defender for years. They are both serviceable and thats about it.

Mozgov had the 5th highest contest rate in the NBA last season and he's enabled the Cavaliers to completely overhaul their defensive strategy. I don't know where he technically "ranks" amongst interior defenders, but he has been invaluable on this particular team. Sometimes, certain guys are just the right fit. Boris Diaw was almost completely out of the NBA a few years ago. He went to the Spurs and was a key piece to their near back-to-back championships.

We'll see what the change of scenery does for Perk.

I agree he has been great for that squad and just what they needed. I have always thought he was better than what he showed in NY and Denver. I still dont think hes a top defensive big man. Part of the contest rate is having people try and score on you (looking at the Goldsbury post from grantland today and how very few people even try and score on howard). But he was a great pick up no doubt.

Makes sense seeing how much love he gave OKC after they traded him. Perkins is a Thunder for life, even over the Celtics at this point. He loves the team/city.
