Just forwards? lol... Lebron has right now more assists than any non-PG ever.... everybody above him on the assist list right now are all Point-Guard's.

Bron is eventually gonna make it to 10,000 assists. At that point, he will be the first player to have at least 20,000 points and 10,000 assists. From there, i think he has a very good shot at getting 10,000 boards. So it VERY CONCEIVABLE that Bron with have at least 30,000 points, 10,000 asssists, and 10,000 rebounds in his career! That would be the most impressive career NUMBERS wise of all time.

Many fans still dont truly understand how great/unbreakable this assist record is for non-PG's until after Lebron retires or something.... considering he is on comfortable pace to become the 1st non-PG to enter Top 10 on the All-time Assist list his Assist Record will be as unbreakable for those players as Wilts 100 pts is or Oscars TD average season is or even more maybe..... i mean, i doubt we will see a SG/SF/PF or C average like 8 apg for the entire career, thats what will be required to surpass him afterall, at least more than 7....

Bron has certainly done enough to be the GOAT SF. Ive always thought Bron, Bird, and Magic were the most unique perimeter players of all time. Due to their epic all around games and the fact they can swing to the PF position effectively.

But as time goes on, the peak value argument will be the closer argument. Cause I think Bron is on track to become the clear cut GOAT SF. The numbers he could possibly put up during his career (something like 30,000 points, 10,000 assists, 10,000 rebound) would be the most impressive of ALL TIME!

:oldlol:

How dumb are you? Pippen played 1,178 games in his career totaling to 41,069 minutes. Total assists? 6,135.

LeBron played 889 games totaling to 34,789 minutes, which got him 6,142 assists. LeBron has 7 more assists while playing ~6,500 fewer minutes. That comes to 162 games at 40 MPG.

2x play offs MVP
4x regular season MVP (including a 3peat)

I don't know, going off of accolades I'd say he needs to get at least another ring to be in the convo with Dr. J for GOAT SF. That's just me, doe.

Well obviously he isn't the best all-time, we're talking 1990-1998 here. There wasn't a single SF that had the combination of size, shooting, play-making ability, post offense and most of all DEFENSE of Pippen in 1990-1998.

Well said, Pip is the best SF of the 90s. Pippen is underrated in this board to be honest. Bulls had the best duo of all time. Is there any other duo in NBA history who are best at their positions during their peak other than MJ and Pippen? None!

Historic FG% for a perimeter player = layups all the time, rarely shoots from the perimeter.

All time forward assists = ball in hands all the time.

So what's the next worthless bullshit stat?

My guess? Turnovers/Ball Dominance :oldlol:

So is his ball dominance not a legit point? Is that clearly not a reason for him piling up greater totals then those that weren't as ball dominant? It sure is. At the same time, it also has to do with his amazing passing ability and durability.

What else is pretty crazy is that he has legit shot at getting to top 3 in both points and assists. For comparisons sake, the highest assist total player who's also in the top 10 in points is Kobe, and he's currently #30 in assists. That's quite absurd and will likely end up being one of the most unbreakable records in the NBA, and clearly his most unbreakable record if he gets there.

I take Bird over Dr. J every day and twice on Sunday, and Lebron over Dr. J easily too, even if you give DrJ NBA credit for his ABA years. Bird was just a better player, while being hardly able to jump 2" off the floor while Dr J was one of the most athletic ever. Lebron passing Pippen for most SF assists this early in his career really says something too.

If you're building a team Bird = Bran >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> dr j

took him about 300 games less than Scottie as well.

Pip spent most of his career in the triangle, which deflates assist numbers. LeBron is the better passer, though.

Pippen was better than any version of Worthy and "peak" Grant Hill, sadly, does not exist. Pippen clearly was better than Hill in 96'. I assume you meant 97' on? Pippen was the best SF in the game from 1992-1996 and had a case in 97'.

All-time the only SF's above Pippen are LeBron, Bird, Baylor, Dr.J, Barry and maybe Hondo.

:

He is, but as you suggest outside the triangle, Pip could have been an 8 apg type guy himself, he had the mentality and playmaking ability for it. The main difference is Lebron has the epic scoring ability which Pip lacked( though a fine scorer in his own right, of course)....

Agreed. That small disparity is the difference between being top 20-25 all-time and being a player who will finish top 5-10 all-time.

That's crazy. If there's anything I respect about LeBron, it's his passing. He makes crazy cross-court passes that no one else in the league can make look effortless.
