Dude isn't soft and any reasonable person could tell you that he wanted to come back but had every right to worry about getting himself hurt again. He's never going to be the same player and it isn't his fault at all.

He was so exciting to watch. It is just depressing to see the youngest MVP ever have his career cut so short.

He truly loves the game and to have it cut so short especially when it seemed like his team was geared for an NBA finals appearance is heartbreaking

when did it seem his team was geared up for a finals appearance? Surely not this year?

dude, if its making you this upset, you need to step away from the keyboard. Calling him soft or weak-kneed is not mocking him or belittling his injury. go take a walk, do a shot, **** your gf, whatever. its not worth getting worked up over.

I shed a tear, I won't lie.

I've been there with Rose through his journey and know what he's gone through to get to a level of playing well again.

As Bulls fans, we have endured a mental torture for the last 5 years. I think knowing what could of been is the hardest to accept.

I know this is just a game and I know its basketball, but hey, I'm a diehard. This hurts to the core.

I understand his going at the haters. Guys who consistently take shots at people when they get injured or when they are down, are either stone drunk haters or irrational internet cowards. You don't run into them in real life. So it is a bit of a shock to see them/you?

All good, in life nothing is guaranteed.

Time to move forward, the season is still on.

It would be disrespectful to assume the Bulls players remaining won't give it a shake.

Regarding the PG position, I wouldn't really have Rose... He's not nearly as big of a what-if as guys like Bias or Oden...

right now I can think of two teams, being the Pistons and the Denver that could really use someone like Rose. the playing style most likely would fit and pro-long his career.

Nobody could use someone like Rose, he is done being a good NBA player.

So it turns out that he actually did have a better sense of how his knee felt and the risk of reinjury than 19 year olds online who googled recovery times and claimed he should have been on the floor last year because his knee was as likely to go out again as anyone else's.

Turns out being medically cleared does not make you just fine....

Kinda like the dozens of other times people choose to ignore and call him out.

As I said last year and the year before that..... If an athlete says his knees feet or ankles bother him don't question it. Nobody knows how you feel more than you do.

Penny and Grant Hill told stories about doctors saying everything is fine.... them knowing they aren't.....and feeling pressure from fans talking about how the doctors say its cool.

Medically cleared means nothing.

This was my argument for years here and in many threads - even recently.

Some good debates on these grounds are provided below.
This one is earlier this year.

The many times the clearances were wrong. The first two were the most critically wrong and caused the ACL tear.

Who cares? You're arguing about something you don't even know. Rose has said in the past that he wasn't mentally ready and had muscle memory issues. He wasn't saying his knees were still bothering him.

Get a life.
