Worn out and injured Brandon Roy musters up enough energy to lead a huge comeback against the eventual champs...one of my personal favorite games.

I thought Portland was going to win the series after that game. Then Roy could never muster up the same magic, Mavs escape, and the next thing you know Dirk goes bezerk and carries his team a championship.

Still crazy to think what Portland had going. They built such a core that even if Oden only reached his floor (imo, defensive beast, 10/10 player), they would still be contenders. Roy was on his way to becoming a star, if not there. Aldridge has reached that level. They took a chance on Wes Matthews and he's developed into one of the better two way 2's in the NBA. Batum would only need to be a do a little of everything, 4th option on that team, which is basically what he's become.

Then you had Dre Miller, Camby, and Pryzbilla as quality veterans. Even ending of prime Crash for that one season and Patty Mills before he broke out.

The pieces were there. And then if Oden is actually good...

Oden was actually good. He had a pretty good rookie/sophmore seasons.

Didn't have to click it to know it was the 2011 game in Portland that the Mavs collapsed.

I seriously thought Dallas was gonna choke another playoff run.

It took another choke artist in LeBron (at the time) for Dirk and co. to get over the hump.

I thought B Roy and D rose would be running the NBA by now.

There was a period of time where Brandon Roy was like Anthony Davis...the guy you take first to make your team at this point.

He was that good.

He was my favorite guard. Such a smooth game.
Excellent shooter but did not rely so much on the 3 pointer like Harden or Thompson.

Such a shame.... :(

One of the most memorable game. Up there with Klay's record breaking quarter.

Man, Portland knows how to chant "defense", the way it echoed & had that intense build to it. Holy shit.

Chants right around when Kidd was dribbling the ball up the court. You never hear that in Laker games.
