Hair drug test for marijuana

I have a hair drug test for a company I'm about to work for. My dumb ass took a puff on Saturday night at a party and now I'm a little worried. Is that enough to show up?

I been clean for over a month and a half, but was still nervous when I took a UA for a potential job a few days ago. (Dabbing out all day eveyday for a year straight) still haven't got the results. But if I pass, I fly out to New Orleans March 1st for work! Wish me luck ISH

THC requires repeated use to show up however regular use builds up and then puts out at a constant high levels detox take s 1 to 2 months thus when you stop it doesn't .

Not sure. Drinking a ton of water and peeing constantly works for urine tests, there's gotta be some equivalent for hair tests. Grow your hair out, cut it, grow it out again, cut it again, repeat like 5 times. Should work.

The last time I smoked before Saturday was...the third week of December. And before that, over the summer. So as you can tell, I smoke pretty rarely. I also cut my hair every few weeks. I cut it about two weeks ago.

I'm also reading that it typically takes 5-7 days for the hair to grow long enough for a positive to show up. I will be taking the test at 1015am tomorrow, which is approximately 110 hours after I took the one puff (roughly 4 1/2 days)

I'll let you guys know the results.

If you only took 1 puff and didn't actually smoke like half a blunt then you may be fine. Just remember to drink shitload of cranberry juice.

I have no clue if they work or not. I really haven't heard of anyone I know having to take a hair test, piss tests are cheaper and more reliable.

The hair tests are in the follicle, there's really no way to change what the results will be. But if it's really as infrequently as you're saying, then maybe it won't be enough to show a true result. I'm sure there's some threshold before you fail.

That was a big thing in the Josh Gordon case. He's was fractions of fractions above what is already a really low threshold that the NFL and players union agreed on. Apparently you could fail that threshold just strolling through a smoky room.

Hair tests are supposed to be infallible; that's the point. He might be OK if it really was just a puff, but they're designed to be extraordinarily sensitive for both usage and time. I believe they go for up to 6 months assuming you didn't cut your hair.

To be completely honest it didn't even cross my mind that I was going to be tested soon...I was drinking already and she handed me the vape pen and I was just like, "f*ck it let's party!"

But with the hair it's pretty much game over. WTF kind of company uses a hair test? Is your employer the Department of Defense? I've had several tech/industry jobs and all of them did urine testing. Hair tests are much more expensive.

Alright so I did the test. They took hair off of my armpits with scissors because my beard and head hair are too short. The fact that the nurse used scissors kinda gives me some hope because its really hard to get all the way down to the root, and considering that I took one puff 4 days ago, I highly doubt my armpit hair grew fast enough to show anything. Anyway, I should be hearing back from them next Tuesday so I will bump the thread once I get the results.

A lot of big companies are moving from urine to hair testing. When I joined my current company (fortune 500) it was a urine test and recently found out they changed it to hair.

Hair tests use up to 1.5 inches from the root, which equates to 90 days. The shorter your hair, the shorter the duration. My hair isn't even an inch long. Probably half an inch, if that. IF they do find any traces of marijuana, it'll be from that one puff last weekend, that's if my hair even grew fast enough for it to show up on the test.

Well yeah my original post was joking, in seriousness I think OP might be ****ed. I'm not super aware of the technical details of hair tests but from what I know the situation doesn't look great.
