Just looked at the stats. He is a +9, the lowest of the Cavs starters, proving how valuable he really is :lol

Mozgov is the real MVP of the Cavs easily.
Curry still MVP of the league.

There were possessions where he wasn't doing his job defensively, despite the turnovers he forced.

Agreed. Dominating the most stacked team in the league like this is going to have major sway with the voters.

Bron hasn't got a shot. Not a chance.
Would be pathetic if he wins. They'd need to win 20 of the next 23 for it not to be a complete disgrace, yet alone deserved in any way, and the Cavs simply aren't that good.

Cleveland is now a 1:2 favorite to get to the Finals. But they are no good.

He'd need other teams to start slowing down and for the Cavs to keep rolling. 18-2 in their last 20. They're currently like 9 games behind ATL. If they somehow make up 6+ games (really unlikely) and he plays at a high level, I see him getting a ton of credit, whether it's deserved or not.
Anyways, Cavs would theoretically still be behind, record-wise, both GSW and MEM. Too little, too late, for LBJ to get that MVP imo.

So the LeBron Cavs are nowhere near having the best record in the NBA and he's having a down season statswise compared to previous seasons yet he's leading the MVP race according to his stans :oldlol:
dat logic

He's having a down season but his down season is equal to James Harden's Stats and superior to Stephen Curry's stats. What a beast
once lebron outplays harden like he did curry, the mvp race is over.

LeBron is a great player, never said otherwise but by his lofty standards, HE IS having a down season. Add to that that the Cavs are nowhere near having the top record in the league, those things matter to the voters.
Unless the top teams fall off and LeBron puts on huge numbers from here to the end of the season and the Cavs grab the top record in at least the EC, he really is on the outside looking in. I'm not saying it's impossible but it is as of right now very unlikely.
