there are four people who are decent candidates independently.

all four candidacies have flaws.

this MVP voting may come down to how they rank people second, third and fourth.

for example, if Curry is everyone's second place vote, he could win with less first place votes than a Harden or Bran.

It will be a weird year like this.

He is 0-4 against the Warriors, but you gotta remember that basketball is a team sport. You can have 60 points, but if your team doesn't play well then you're probably going to lose. The Warriors as a team are just flat out better than the Rockets. Curry and Klay were shooting lights out and the Rockets couldn't do anything to stop 'em. Yeah Curry did outplay Harden in those games, but will that really take away Harden's chance at winning MVP? Obviously not. What he's doing this season for the Rockets is pretty amazing. Stepped up his defense, showing more leadership than ever, and currently leading his team to a 3rd spot in the tough tough western conference without our 2nd best player, Dwight Howard. James Harden is definitely a top 3 candidate.

Harden is more valuable to his team than Curry is to his team imo. Also Harden is better than Curry. Curry just happens to be on a better team. I could see if they were going head to head and defending each other, but nah. Rockets lost to Warriors. Not Harden lost to Curry.
