View Full Version : Why is Rose so fragile?
particularly his legs and knees. I am not sure if he had any injuries before on other parts of the body. Is this more on genetics or because he jumps so high which put too much pressure on his legs and knees?

Too athletic for his own body to handle.

Why was Andrew Toney so fragile?
Why was Michael Redd so fragile?
Why was Penny Hardaway so fragile?
Why was Tracy McGrady so fragile?
Why was Grant Hill so fragile?
Why was Greg Odum so fragile?

Those herky-jerky explosive movements put crazy stress on your knees... it was only a matter of time.

Weird thing is he was really durable in college and his first few years in the league, never having any major injury issues, then he tore his ACL and it's been injury after injury ever since :(

Yeah, injuries are so unpredictable. Look at Durant and Westbrook this year... last year we were wondering if Russ was going to have these knee problems every year, while Durant had only missed a few games a season for his whole career. Roles totally reversed now.

Yeah, they are unpredictable. That's why someone like LeBron who hardly ever gets a major injury are so rare. I do expect to see LeBron get hit with injuries more often now that he's in his 30s. It sucks but it's part of being human and growing older.

His play style, and possibly in conjunction with genetics
He does all these explosive direction changing hop steps, its only a matter of time before his (or anyone's, really) gets hurt.

This. My legs wouldn't have been able to handle what he does.

his game heavily relies on his athleticism and wears down his knees at a higher rate than others...
