I know it's a subjective thing but who do you think is funnier/ or more successful?
smokey> if you ask me.

Hart is on the way to have a much more successful career than Tucker seeing how hard he has been working lately.

As far as an actor Hart has already been far more succesful.
As a stand-up comedian, and comedian in general I think Chris Tucker was more succesful and I find his comedy more enjoyable

I didn't think about it before, but Hart does seem very Chris Tucker like. I think Tucker was more versatile, and the Rush Hour movies will likely be bigger box office hits than anything Hart will ever do, but I also think Hart will be around in the mainstream longer, largely due to his stand up.

Chris Tucker is just flat out a better actor imo that small role he had in Silver Linings Playbook was just gold.
Hart makes too many shitty movies.

i grew up in the Chris Tucker era, so i have a soft spot in my heart for him. I'm an adult during this kevin heart era, but have yet to watch anything he's in, because it doesnt seem to appeal to me.
also, money talks is a pretty underrated movie (at least thats how i felt when i was 11)

Tucker is better in every imaginable way. Tucker comes across as naturally funny whereas Kevin Hart is tryhard

I have moderately high hopes for Get Hard, but that is mostly due to Ferrell.

How? Rush Hour series > Hart's entire film career
Just checked the stats. Tucker has been in half as many films and still grossed more

Kevin Hart doesn't care about making quality movies. I bet you every time he's offered a role in a movie he accepts it without even reading the script. For him it's quantity over quality.

Of quality movies:
Tucker
Friday
Dead Presidents
Jackie Brown
Fifth Element
Rush Hour (arguably part 2 as well)
(Silver Linings Playbook - noted just because mentioned and I can't remember his role, so not sure if worth putting here)
Hart
Top Five

There's really no argument for Tucker being a more successful comedian or actor. Hart absolutely destroys him.
That being said, I think most people with a pulse will love Chris Tucker far more than Hart. At least that's how myself and most the people I know feel.

Yeah, Hart's not a good actor. His physical comedy and affectations are much more suited to stand-up, which should be the case since he spent years refining those talents. I think he just finds it hard to separate his acting from his stand-up routines because it is second nature to him.
Can't really remember Tucker's stand-up tho so I can't really comment there. Definitely a better actor tho.

If Chris Tucker was more active ...
Tucker has had a ten year jump on Kevin Hart, yet Hart has way more stand up specials and appearances and blows his movie totals out of the water.
Chris Tucker is funnier and a better actor. He just doesn't work enough.

Tucker, like Chappelle, is extremely selective. So to me, it's like they're not even doing it for the money or for relevancy.
Chris Rock seems like a guy who knows how to balance both.
Difference with Chappelle (and Rock) is they create their own projects and have had many stand up specials.
Tucker has never done his own projects. Chappelle has had TV series and movies from his own ideas.
Tucker did say he has a stand up special premier this year.

I hate Kevin Hart with a fiery passion.
He was only good in 40 Year Old Virgin. The end.

Chris Tucker, easily
Phil LaMarr also shits on Kevin Hart

Fair enough.
But Tucker's legacy with Rush Hour and Friday, along other roles(Money Talks, Fifth Element) is bigger than Hart's career.
How long is that legacy going to last? He didn't have Eddie Murphy 80s success or anything like that with TV (SNL), films (multiple) and stand up. If Hart continues to release to material, he can pass him up.
Friday and Rush Hour are not significant to say Keenen Ivory Wayans' In Living Color, Chris Rock's career, Chappelle Show, ect.

Friday alone >>>>all 50 of kevin hart's movies and all 20 of tyler perry's

It's been 20 years since Friday came out and people still made references about it to this day.
Why are you listing all of those dudes when we're comparing Tucker to Hart. I only brought up Chappelle because he's also selective. I wasn't bringing in Chappelle's work for comparison, which is heads and shoulders above Tucker. We all already know that.
Tucker is nowhere near Rock, Chappelle or KIW but he's still miles ahead of Hart.
Hart needs to make a cult classic before he can be compared to Tucker.
Hart doesn't need to make a cult classic, he can live off his stand up films.
I was just saying Friday's legacy is not as great as those comparisons I was making. And if Hart keeps active, he'll surpass Tucker. Yeah it's greater than Hart now, but will we still be saying that in 2025?
Hart will be like Eddie Griffin. Griffin is greater than Chris Tucker, yet doesn't have a cult classic like Friday and doesn't have marquee stand ups like Chris Rock or a legendary television series like Keenen or Chappelle.
Chris Tucker. Kevin Hart isn't really that funny

Speaking of Tucker, where's Rush Hour 4 at? 3 was pretty bad the first two were funny and that series has a lot of potential
Tucker wins both. But people need to stop dissing Hart. Guy is devoted, passionate and has the best work ethic in Hollywood right now. I thought he was a bit over saturated but in an interview he explained why he is in a ton of movies. Made me respect him even more. I dont think he's the funniest and he can be annoying. But I salute the work he puts in the game. Top earning comedian last year I believe.

I had to google to that name. The black guy from Deuce Bigalow, and Undercover Brother is like his only leading role. Griffin is a role player, Tucker is a leading man.
If Hart will be like Eddie Griffin, then that's a bad sign of things to come for his career.
He was more of a stand up guy, (released countless TV specials) but did a few movie roles.
You got to realize the leading comedy roles were going to the likes of Martin Lawrence and Damon Wayans at that time. I mean Bernie Mac wasn't a lead guy either in those days, so it's not that bad. It was serious competition back then. Now, just him and Mike Epps.

Some of you are really dull and somehow find a way to misinterpret my post for whatever reason.
I think Chris Tucker is way funnier than Kevin Hart.
But if you think Chris Tucker ever had as much fame as Kevin Hart has right now you guys are stupider than I thought. Kevin Hart is in a movie like every month. He has lead roles, he's had his own show. He is big in Hollywood right now. Chris Tucker is a better comedian, like I already said. And he's made more money because he's been around a lot longer.
I def prefer Tucker over Hart, but Hart will be a lot more succesful and will have made a lot more money at the ends of their careers

Didn't Griffin used to have a show on UPN with that kid from the Cosby Show?
I actually miss UPN and the WB, while everybody was watching Seinfield or Friends. I was watching the Wayans Bros, the Jamie Foxx Show, Steve Harvey, etc. Black sitcoms had it good back in the late 90's.
Best show from those stations, Homeboys from Outer Space.

[I]"t's been a rough year for the actor, but at least he has his millions of dollars to ease the pain. 42-year-old Chris Tucker has taken the No. 1 spot on People With Money

I'm guessing stand up? Cause he ain't do nothing else.

Chappelle had a big comedy tour last year. He went on Letterman and Fallon to promote and everything. Still made less than Tucker, who had no press at all.
Tucker went over seas.
Tucker. I'm getting sick of Kevin.

Tucker went from 15 grand to 25 million for just doing a handful of movies.
Friday (1995) $15,000
Dead Presidents (1995) $25,000
Money Talks (1997) $2,000,000
Rush Hour (1998) $3,000,000
Rush Hour 2 (2001) $20,000,000
Rush Hour 3 (2007) $25,000,000
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000676/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm
They didn't have Fifth Element or Jackie Brown but I'm he didn't make over a million in those supporting roles.
I don't think anybody has ever done that before. I know Rush Hour was popular and all but I don't think many actors would get that kind of salary on a very limited resume.
Jamie Foxx possibly? Booty Call to Ray. He may have made a mill for Booty Call.
Tucker made $75 mill....from what? :wtf:
That must be for career then.
Yes career not just movies. It's how much he's earned overall. For example BET paid him $1mil to host the awards one year. That was way more than they ever paid anyone including Hart who i think got either 1/2 or 1/4 of that.

After they got rid of Tim and added those two white guys who worked in the 50/50 club with them. The hell were those network execs thinking.
