This is a guy who went up against John Havlicek (Hondo started his career in 1962) his rookie year and Kobe Bryant (Still active in 2015) in his final year. Pretty remarkable.

And Havlicek played with Bob Cousy who started in 1950. Only 3 years after the league BEGAN.

That's just 4 people of overlapping careers spanning almost the entire history of the sport.

Just goes to show there are no clearly defined "era's" in basketball. Most players of the past could easily adapt to the game of a different time, the physical tools and talent necessary to play the game is pretty much a constant. Big coordinated quick thinking/intelligent athletes that practiced/understood how to shoot, pass, play defense and rebound.

Nope. All this record proves is how healthy Robert Parish's joints were. But watching him play on the court was disgustingly creepy. It's like the old guy that never left High School. I would sit there on my couch watching him play and I could smell his B.O. seeping through my speakers. That's how ugly and dirty looking this guy was. I'm like you've been in the NBA for like 20 years, just retire already you old stinky ****.

1,795 games including the playoffs.

Definitely won't be broken anytime soon.

Including playoffs, Kareem has him beaten by 2 games, lol.

More praise to Kareem.
