This why I've never bought the "he's a fast player!" tag gifted to him.

He's not.

He struggles big time to blow past defenders even in 1-on-1 coverage in crunch situations and often has to settle on a distant jumper, which sometimes will fall but often won't.

He doesn't have the break away speed that even a Kobe does (did?) to be able to get separation for his shot.

There was no choking, Lebron was confident the whole game, he never got scared, his shooting just went off at the wrong time. Gotta give him credit for nothing losing confidence despite the tough times and for keeping attacking.

But I didn't like the fact that he didn't get Love more involved. Love is a great player, Lebron should get him more in the post and let him get more points. Love is better than Bosh, he can't just spot up.

CavaliersFTW
03-01-2015, 08:13 PM
Did Lebron choke because of pressure facing another MVP candidate? Lebron started out the game unusually aggressive. Seemed wound up all game, which was great the first 3 quarters. I was getting the vibe he wanted to make this a statement game.

I think it then becomes a valid question, did the pressure get to him in the final moments of the game once it became clear Harden and the Rockets were keeping the game close and wouldn't let up? If I know one thing about Lebron it's that pressure visibly shakes him up. He likes to blow teams out in wins he doesn't like them to get close. He's good enough against most teams that that can happen often. Close games are not his favorite type of game though. Where as superstars cut from a different cloth thrive on them. I think Lebron put too much pressure on himself tonight.

Lebron tonight reminded me of an old lady trying to carry too many groceries by herself. Just to prove to herself that she can. Makes it all the way to the front door then collapses as they fly out of her hands.

Yeah, because Kobe never choked away games, right?

You guys need to get the **** over it. Everyone misses shots and FT's to lose games. It's just a bigger deal when LeBron "chokes".

Because most people just choke the last shot.

Lebron choked countless times down the stretch. Missing free throws and layups that anyone could have made. Then he misses those two free throws at the end.

It was almost like Game 6 of the 2013 Finals except there was no Ray Allen to bail his ass out this time.

Much like the haters do after wins. It's funny how that works.

Lol. LeBron went 7/10 for 16 points in Game 6. Dude had a bad get. Move on. Are you seriously trying to act like LeBron is the ONLY player to miss shots in the 4th?

Pretty shocking gag job, yeah. The fact that he continued to drive when he could neither make a layup nor a free throw all day was a horrific decision in itself. My heart just sank when he drove the ball on that last possession.

The playoffs haven't even started yet. It's too soon for Lebron to start choking. Save that shit for the postseason.

LeBreezy is by far the best player on the Cavs and it's not even close. Only WestBreezy, Curry and Harden are currently playing better than Bron, and that doesn't imply they are overall better players. One thing that caught my attention during last nights game was how Bron reacts to negativity from the crowd. It really hurts his game. His FT shooting performance was indicative of how shook he was. He was hearing loud MVP chants for the opposing star and got taken the f out. Kobe found a way to thrive off these moments, embrace the villain role and completely destroy the opposition. Time for LeBreezy to book some time with the Mamba for a much needed and overdue lesson.

His mediocre free-throw shooting has always been someone of a turn-off with him for me.

Is he automatic or something from the line at any point of the game? He missed freethrows all game. One doesn't become a better shooter in the clutch. Doing what you normally do is clutch.
