Damn that was a great day....

I remember watching that game on a hot summer day with some buddies, drinking miller light, and being completely enamored by the game....

League hasn't been the same without Kobe in the title picture.. man, that was was a great series and a memorable celebration afterwards. Good times.

Bran's biggest shot was a wide open jump shot....he's 1/5 in the Finals if Bosh doesn't rebound his two bricks in the last minute...dude had like 2 TO and shot 1/3 in the last minute of Game 6 of the Finals.

but you call him clutch :kobe:

Even though the game was incredibly close wire-to-wire I never thought the Heat would lose. One of the few times where you knew Lebron got dat. Every shot he made was a big one, every decision the right one, every 50/50 ball ended up in his hands. Truly great performance on the biggest stage possible.

That's what makes occurrences like today so puzzling. LeBron has come through with some very clutch performances in big games, but has also had some astounding meltdowns as well. They've ranged from averaging 2 ppg in the 4th quarter of the 2011 Finals, to having a masterful performance like this in a Game 7 of the Finals. I don't think I've ever seen an athletes play in the clutch fluctuate as frequently as LeBron's has

Yup, that's the thing about Lebron I don't get. No star comes through all the time, not even the likes of MJ, Bird, Magic, etc. But Lebron's so up and down, I can't figure this dude out.

Yep, I honestly don't get it at all. Though I don't really consider today to be a meltdown or any type of microcosm for his career "unclutchness" that the trolls are latching on to. He was aggressive, hit some big shots, and generally played well. The FT thing was just a random fluke and going cold at that point in the game from the field was just an unfortunate thing that happened to be in the 4th quarter. Every player has them. He didn't seem shook at all except at the line, and that probably had more to do with the abysmal FT shooting day being in his head that it did the pressure moment of the game.

It was a pretty big game for the regular season imo. It was a Sunday showcase game against a top team in the league with legitimate MVP ramifications. But in the grand scheme of things, obviously today's game won't mean all that much. Still, to shoot 2/9 down the stretch, miss a game winner, then miss TWO FT's down one point to finish the game 3/11 from the line, that's just :biggums:

Spurs should have been crowned that year as well, but Lebron truly earned my respect with this performance.

He buried the "Lechoke" bullshyt (although after yesterday's game, it may have resurrected) just like he buried those clutch jumpers.

Underrated game because most people will just look at his jumpshots. He started the game by getting everyone involved including D-cline. This got wade going leading to some midrange jumpshots later in the game. The heat started moving the ball well, and they found out the battier was on that day, and also that ray and mike miller were off. This paid off later with battier being in the game in the 4th quarter, hitting two threes. LeBron played great defense on tony parker during the entire second half. He had to do all these things to win. No other perimeter player in history beats that 2013 spurs team with that 2013 heat team.
