Dragic is a good finisher. Technically sound. But Im surprised that his court game is as limited as it is. Im not surprised Spo is going with Wade on playmaking at the end of games but not utilizing both Wade and Dragix as a tandem seems insane.

Of course chemistry and comfort will improve but Dragic has not been finding Whiteside that much either.

Dragic is playing hurt. But I agree. Him and Wade are showing good chemistry, especially on fastbreaks. I don't like him playing with Chalmers though.

He seems really suspect in the half court and spolestra seems to think that he doesnt need screens. We shall see.

I dont see how his Role has changed from the Suns, which might tick him off.

What I'm not liking is his lack of effort defending through screens.

Im so nba'd out

I think Spo is to Blame for Whiteside not getting more touches.

Goran's been really aggressive today especially on defense. He REALLY wants this win.

He wants to win so badly that he's on pace to foul out by early fourth quarter.

he's had his bumps but overall, i like what he brings to the heat. he brings a more uptempo dynamic and the heat just look like a different team with him on the floor.

The hell is wrong with this team? Decide if you want to tank this year for a pick or make the freaking playoffs. I get mad just watching based on this alone.

This is the only year we have a pick. Might as well tank it and get something out of it, rather than sucking the next few years where our picks are gone... Are the picks we traded to Phoenix protected by any chance?

So?

So?
That's what is commonly referred to as counterproductivity. So, if he wants to "win really badly," fouling out would be counterproductive to that goal.

He had two stupid fouls. The 2nd where he poked Len in the face trying to get the ball out of his hands on a rebound and the other taking a charge when he knew he already had 2 fouls.

Not bad Dragic. Yet I stil want to see more plays like the breakdown/pass combo to Haslem in the 3rd and more command of the floor as well as better entry passes into the deep post.

Who's he supposed to be passing to in the post?

The open guy.

There are no current post players on Miami.

I like that he was aggressive in the first half, even though he went 1-4 shooting he got 10 FT attempts. Getting to the line is the most important asset in the game.

Whiteside. Birdman. Wade, Chalmers can do it.

Wade sometimes...Whiteside, ehh, I guess sometimes too....no way to Birdman or even Chalmers.

Pretty sure Cavs own our pick this year unless we finish way below expectations and that's unlikely at this point. The Heat will likely make the playoffs, and may even grab the 6th seed if one of the teams slips due to injury (bulls) or other issues (raps, wizards, bucks).

Wade is great in the post, he just has struggled to get the ball there consistently as no one on this team (except McRoberts, and now Dragic) is capable of throwing an entry pass.

Considering all the Heat injuries, 6th seed is pretty good, considering their potential matchup with say, the Raptors wouldn't be too bad, Raptors got defeated last year by the 6th seeded Nets, why can the Heat take them in a series?

Am I missing something here? :confusedshrug:

By the time the season is over, I think Dragic will be handling the ball in crunch time. He isn't used to his teammates, and he probably doesn't know all the Heat's sets yet. Midseason trades for point guards are the toughest trade situations in terms of adjustment.
