I know but a fraction of Steve Francis' life, but it really seems like he might be best served stepping away from functions and situations like this - maybe re-evaluating things a little. He's almost 40 years old and seems to alternate between looking semi-normal and absolutely awful.

The snatcher is a real idiot. If he imagined he was a running back, he's not getting thru that crowd, not only are bouncers paid to catch him, he seemingly doesn't calculate that to play hero is a big deal these days. He also doesn't know that the good stuff doesn't pop that easy. And that by the time you stomp it off his neck (seemed personal at this point because it seemed a lot easier to just pull it over Steve Francis head) you got ten people on you. The snatcher got himself a well deserved second felony on the stomp choice. Horrible plan, stupid execution with super high risk and at least 5 - 7 years behind bars for it, unless Houston is lenient with sentencing.

If you look at it, you could probably spot two accomplices - one providing a distraction and path to get away. For him to get away he had to have more than that though. As a producer this is a nightmare and his name is ruined: It happened on stage for all to see. It goes viral for the world to see. There was no response time for security, despite there was a commotion a good minute before the incident in the most visible place in the whole venue. Person attacked has a public name. Attacker has no regard for even thinking about being caught and doesn't get caught.
