what's most impressive is that game was on opposing court yet the crowd can't contain themselves from oohing and ahhing
Bran's never had that kind of effect on the crowd or females

Remember when he asked some female athlete out to dinner during the Olympics and she rejected and exposed him?

I feel like Tmac had a ridiculous one over Lebron in Lebrons rookie season but I cant find it. In the search I did find this though:

OP has Kobe in both his name and his tagline, his location says "Staples Center", his picture is of Kobe, and his posting content is 100% pro-Kobe. Seriously, I don't know how people don't get tired of homering so hard.
That was a nice shot, but it was very well-defended, and he had to shoot at such a high arc (unusual for Kobe, whose jumpers were usually very low-arcing) just to get it off. I remember during LeBron's first Cavaliers years, whenever they were matched up, Kobe had a hard time doing anything other than shooting fadeaways over him. LeBron was always quick enough to stay with him, and obviously bigger and stronger as well. Meanwhile, on the other end, Kobe rarely guarded LeBron for obvious reasons.
Anyway, here's a better fadeaway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wXZ48__zI0

I have some other memories from Lebron's younger days, sir
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTITRJp2bhI
and Kobe was 2 - 0 against 09 Lebron (Lebron in his BEST statistical season) and outplayed him both games :confusedshrug:
Kobe and Lebron both had great games against eachother, I think they both had a game-winning shot against eachother in the same season in 07 IIRC, where Kobe hit 3 straight shots over Lebron from the same spot, including the winner :pimp:

That was great defense, but it was a rare occurrence. The baseline trap was well-timed, and Kobe did a great job of getting the strip. They both have nice plays against each other, but when it comes to LeBron guarding Kobe, he made him work as hard as anyone ever has. Kobe has only made a handful of actual moves on LeBron in all their games against one another, with most of his scores on him coming by way of fadeaways. It is what it is.

Catch-and-shoot? So this is what happened... STATUTORY clicked the link, saw the title, thought he remembered the play, and responded. Didn't watch the video.
Not surprising though... you can't expect a 100% anti-bran troll to say anything about LeBron if it's not disparaging. Predictable. Homogeneous. Biased.
He hit a beautiful step-back, fadeaway, game-winning three over one of the best wing defenders in the league. Cry about it.

He pulled up 3 straight times on Bran from the same spot within like 2 minutes in crunch time.
And since Bran joined Miami, they haven't defended eachother too much, but Kobe has some great sequences defending Lebron in the 2013 ASG and this year in that 17 assist game.
Lebron is a big, strong body, so obviously Kobe is going to have to work hard to shoot over him or get by him, Kobe was never the fastest guy in the league. But he did have two dunks on James (one in 2011 ASG IIRC and one in 2013, where Lebron avoided a facial)

Prometheus just had to make this about Kobe's D and got ethered by the facts.
Kobe's defense, or lack there of is an overrated topic here at ISH, yet ni99as wanna act like Lebron a defensive juggernaut.

First of all, Kobe's D is all OP had in mind when he made this thread anyway.
Second, I barely mentioned anything about Kobe playing defense. I was talking about how well LeBron always seemed to defend Kobe. Since bean is a better pure scorer and one-on-one player, it always impressed me that he managed very few actual moves on bran over their careers. He was almost always forced into a fade.

On that shot in the OP, Jordan would not have needed to arch it that high - it would have just been an ordinary shot.
Kobe always makes shots look a lot harder than Jordan would.

That is an incredible fadeaway by TMac. To Kobe's credit however, IIRC, he immediately blew past on TMac on the very next possession and threw down a vicious two hand dunk with TMac jumping with him. Talk about lack of intimidation. Basically they just embarrassed each other on back to back plays.
