Paul deserves to be in the discussion too. All 3 have legit cases.. I'll go Curry right now.

Used to be:

Lebron
Durant
(gap)
The rest

Now IMO:

Lebron
Durant
Westbrook
(Gap)
The rest

Westbrook's recent dominance cannot be overlooked. Too much of a beast.

Westbrook's impact on the boards sets him apart.

Westbrook gets those 50/50 rebounds that our bigs can't get to. Pure athleticism and hustle.

Has 14 boards tonight.

Westbrook is simply amazing. No other PG, and only 3 other players (LBJ, KD, AD) are comparable right now. HOPE HE STAYS HEALTHY.

Westbrook. WB was killing in the Finals. Yeah Lebron was just better and beat OKC but WB was good. Curry hasn't even made it past second round.

Honestly watching this game right now you might be right lol...but i'd disagree with the placement of (gap)....infact i don't think there is a massive gap at the top anymore with LeBron coasting early on and Durant battling injury.

Westbrook is better. Better all-around game and he plays greater defense.

Westbrook is the better player while Curry is the better shooter. If the Warriors have Westbrook it's going to be a much tougher match up for Delly.

The first time I ever noticed Delly's defense was against Westbrook. I think he'd do well.

Westbrook would compete for these 50/50 balls and rebounds. A guy like Westbrook could've turned this series around for GS with his all-around play and relentless motor.

Not a chance. If he's going to the hospital after 2 games of covering Curry, I don't give him a chance against Westbrook, who is like a mini-Lebron with twice the aggressiveness :oldlol:

Curry's a spot shooter and nothing else...if you can bully him...you've taken him out of the game.

Westbrook is a force of nature...he can't be stopped...he would trample Delly on his way to a 40 point triple double.

If you replace Curry with Westbrook in the finals, GS would be up 3-0 right now. Westbrook is like a less smart version of lebron. Dude is smaller version of the athletic freak that lebron is. But he is so ruthless. He could do everything, Curry is a b1tch.

Westbrook still carrying the low IQ label for taking too many shots on a starting 5 that has usually consisted of Perkins and Sefolosha

Thought that Grizzlies series OKC had with no Westbrook shut up all the haters but I guess not.

****ing lol @ people wanting Russell Westbrook to play like Rondo and over pass and set up Perkins (who can't catch, takes 5 seconds to even make a move towards the basket, can't finish) and Sefolosha (zero confidence on offense, is worthless anywhere on the floor, will regularly pump fake on wide open jumpers) rather than play in attack mode and make the game easier on those guys to play the roles that they are best at.

The two other guys who were worth a shit on OKC's offense, Ibaka and Durant, Westbrook set them up all the time.

People have an idea of how they think the PG position should be played but the reality is that style is outdated and guys who do that like CP3, Rondo, Rubio, etc, now carry the loser label because once the heat of the playoffs hits you don't want the scrubs like Sefolosha and Perkins regularly getting set up with looks. That's what the defense wants. That style only works in the absolute ideal situation of a well balanced starting 5 with some star power as well. (2008 Celtics)

Props to Westbrook for not caving to the retarded masses who have absolutely no idea of what he needs to do for his team to contend

Lakers fan who thinks in this instance that Westbrook gets way too much hate doesn't make me a Thunder fan

I'd never be a fan of that team, willingly moving your city from Seattle (one of the top cities to live in) to one of the worst places in the country to live, and then shipping out Harden because you don't wanna pay the tax, letting a borderline retard hold your team back as the coach for 6-7 years :oldlol:

players would much rather play in Seattle and OKC would be the next dominant force had they stayed there. Now they are basically an afterthought. They may win 1-2 rings in OKC but the appeal was so much greater had they stayed in Seattle (coulda had Seahawks and Sonics win it in the same year) and the NBA would have been way more generous to them as a result. Probably don't get mass disrespected by the refs in the 2012 finals if they are in Seattle.

plus the sonics jerseys were a thing of beauty, the thunders look ugly as hell and are not memorable at all.

It's actually crazy Westbrook has become as much of an icon as he is as the 2nd star in OKC

and fyi, I ain't anti Bron at all if he keeps playing like this. He doesn't even have to put up the consistent raw numbers, just has to play in attack mode and impose his will like he has been

BlakFrankWhite

Westbrook has shined because KD hasn't hogged all the spotlight like Kobe or bron would.....KD has always considered them 1A/B....rather than the batman/robin crap.

And who gives a crap about small market....spurs are a small market team and a 1000x better than the pile of dogshit know as the knicks

Neither one of these guys are PG's.

Compare these guys to Magic, Stockton, Thomas, KJ, etc. Those are REAL floor generals.

None of these chuckers playing today are in that class.

They're undersized SG's with PG skills just like...Dwyane Wade.

...except nowhere near as good.

Guys like Lebron or Harden do a better job of running their teams than these frauds. Hell, Kyrie isn't even the Cavs PG most times.

Both are better than the FRAUD known as Chris Paul doe. At least they can get out of the 2nd round without choking. Pretty sure Westbrook has never lost in the 2nd round, unless you count the year he was out for the playoffs.

Who the f*ck is talking about Paul? Give him Kevin Durant or the #1 defense and see what happens...

These guys today don't even know how to run an offense. Scottie Pippen was more of a PG than these chuckers.

What kind of PG jacks up a long 3 either in transition or with 18+ seconds on the clock and it isn't for a 2 for 1?

They don't play with any type of pace, composure or unselfishness. For all the talk about their flashy handles, they can't even take proper care of the ball.

This "new era" of basketball is overrated.

Obviously being a "playmaking general" isn't as important as you like to believe. Westbrook/Curry aren't gonna just pass to scrubs like Jamal, Reddick and Matt Barnes hoping to get carried, win or lose they will be in control of their fate. That Houston series got you so mad you are lashing out at the other elite PGs, turning into an insecure player stan.
