Would like some input and feedback...
Right now I'm working on the algryhtmn for the 50's and 60's... This converter will only be usable for converting stats of players from different eras to the modern game today

Trying to wear your ass as a hat isn't an algorithm.
Get real.

The problem with just using pace is that you're neglecting context in of itself. Historically defenses have gotten better over time, through rule changes, better athletes/defenders, etc....
It would be foolish to compare eras without addressing context

Note; This isn't a gag like Silkk's thread from awhile back
I'm legitimately working on this, got a couple friends who do some serious statistical mathematics and calculus type stuff at university... They happen to also be hardcore basketball fans as well so I will definitely run this past them

Do number of mountain lions killed factor in as an advanced stat?

There is a basketball forum where you could get some really good input on this, but this probably isn't the one for that particular inquiry.

I made a thread not too long ago scaling many historical seasons to 2020. I corrected for league average pace and TS%.
Anyways there are a lot of stats like this already.

I didn't mean to attack the OP. What specifically are you trying to design when you say correct for era? Because there are a lot of stats that try to correct for era already... namely league average pace and TS% like I said and perhaps others as well.

I would visit the Real-GM message board. They are actually serious when it comes to basketball.
