Of course before Westbrook and Durant. In b4 Kobe/Shaq, Kobe wasn't even top 5 back in the early 2000's. About to have back to back MVP's on the same team followed by them going from 8 seed->NBA title :applause:

You could make a case for MJ and prime Pippen. If he wasn't the 2nd best player, he was the best all around player.

You were getting bullied in elementary school in the early 2000's. We gonna act like you have any sort of grasp or understanding on who were the best players during that time?

Give us your top 5. Since you apparently know the NBA more than everybody else, you condescending prick.

Come on dude. I'm a Kobe hater, but this is getting ridiculous.

And we all know it's to push some kind of agenda that Kevin Durant > Prime Kobe, which clearly isn't true

You like stats, right? Kobe shits on all of them. :oldlol:

lmao @ East

like Kobe wasn't dominating the West in 01 :yaohappy:

Iverson doesn't deserve his MVP nor does that have any bearing on who the better player is. I guess Rose was the best player in 2011.

Are you implying Rose wasn't a top 5 player in 2011? Also Kobe was at league average efficiency despite playing with league average efficiency.

As for "lmao @ East", I guess LeBron hasn't been a top 5 player the past 8 years because of lmao @ East

I'd make that argument, sure, but that wasn't the point of my post. It's that bringing up Iverson's MVP as some sort of argument to him being better than Kobe is asinine, particularly when you also bring up efficiency. Be consistent. You're contradicting yourself.

Answering to the question, Kobe and Shaq, Pippen and Jordan and Lebron and Wade all have a case.

But why all these clowns always want to bash Kobe to prop up their agendas?

While I'll readily admit we f***ed up trading Harden (although that wasn't my stance initially after the trade), it's not like Harden would be who we think he is today if he was still playing for the Thunder. Yes, maybe his numbers are a little better than they were in his last season in OKC, but he'd still likely be topping out at 18-20 PPG, 4-5 APG, and 4-5 RPG. Great/elite 3rd option numbers, but that'd still most likely be his role in OKC. And with that, even with the occasional 30-7-7 outburst, he'd still be viewed as a top 20-25 player.

Now, you could still argue, "but still, he's a top 5 or top 10 talent," but he wasn't ever going to have top 5 player or top 10 player impact in OKC. Does it result in at least one or two rings? Probably, but he's also pretty redundant in OKC with KD and Russ.
