There is snow in Alaska. There is even snow in Anchorage. Just not enough to cover all the patches of dry ground that have been exposed by the mild winter.

You noticed I include a link? yes, because you included a picture from that link. Also I assumed people understood that 200 miles north of Anchorage is still Alaska.

In Anchorage, they needed to use heavy equipment including snow machines to get the starting trail in shape.

Achorage is 41 F today and except for where they moved snow the streets look like this
