Who you got?

5. Tim hardaway and ai's crossovers

4. Hakeem dream shake

3. Shaq drop step

2. Mj turnaround

1. Kareem sky hook.

One of the most amazing things in sports history is after the success of Kareem's sky hook, it's not a standard move in the nba.

When Durant gets the ball he is unstoppable from anywhere on the court, period. It's just a matter of if he makes the shot or he doesn't. Has absolutely nothing to do with "defense", or the lack thereof.

Yeah, that's called an offensive foul.

The only thing it stops is his own team from making progress.

So you're essentially saying he gets away with offensive fouls on a regular basis.

I don't usually watch LeBron play but I definitely agree with you on that. Any time I watch him play he seems to get away with ridiculous amounts of stuff. Traveling, offensive fouls, defensive fouls.. doesn't matter. He gets away with it all. Always has and likely always will.

Agree, would like to add also Lebron's spin move, with that speed, control, power at that size he covers so much ground and its even more deadly on the fastbreak when he is coming at you fullspeed.

If you really did see him do that at least million times you would have mentioned that aspect of his game here wouldnt you? Maybe youve seen him do that but didnt appreciate as the probability is you seem like a Lebron cynic.... I know you dont like him, but you dont need to make it so personal and be that mad upon anybody else who doesnt hate him, calm down Crocodile Dundee...

"But i'm just a fan of basketball"

Why not post Tony Parker's spin move? Just as effective and deadly. Dude paved the way with that move for imitators like LeBron.

Besides, I wouldn't call that a signature/go-to move. Hell, I haven't seen him do it once this year.

Because like i said at ~6'9" a spin move covers much more ground than a 6 footer would... the strides are far longer, Lebron can start the spin at the 3pt line or even before and with two steps be at the hoop for the layup / finger roll... not only this but due to the size/strength he is better with physical contact aswell during this process....

Hence, it is more "unstoppable" especially when he is coming at you full speed on the fastbreak....

He's 6'7", pauk!!

6'7.25" barefoot as a 17 year old, 6'8"-6'8.5" in shoes.... im pretty sure its possible he grew 0.5-1" since then which would give him 6'8" barefoot and 6'9" in shoes, as Lebron said himself he is 6'9" many times, not that long ago...

Point is, an exact Tony Parker spin move executed at longer height presents longer cover of the ground.... some things in basketball is simply better at longer height... logically.... actually, most things are, if not ALL..... as long as the coordination / execution stays the same....

Picture just any great PG.... at 6'6" or 6'9" or hey why not 7'0".... without losing any athleticism/coordination.... they would be far better dont you think?

Imagine your guy Russell Westbrook at 7'0".... he didnt lose anything, he simply became taller.... the longer strides now help him cover much more ground, longer hands help him in many many ways (defensively aswell), he can now see the floor better and see more passing angles.... his shot is harder to contest.... he is still playing PG and has to be guarded by PGs (6 footers)..... not to mention much else.... he became now much more unstoppable, maybe the most unstoppable player ever...... all he did was add more height......... ANY move he did before at 6'3" is now much more unstoppable at 7'0".........

See Kareems sky hook.... how unstoppable do you think it would be at 6'0" ?

Logically.. tony Parker's spin is quicker, with better timing and coordination.. quicker and can take off on the wrong foot finish on either side with tons of spin.

He should be, he is much smaller in height/weight... he should be able to move quicker, any limb... its the physical laws of nature...

Pound of Pound his spin move may be quicker and he may move generally quicker... but the same move is never more devastating or prominent at notably bigger size...

A spider or a mouse moves & accelerates quicker than any human aswell..... but you can cover much more ground with one single step and hence reach higher top speed/mph/kmh....

A beetle can lift 1000 x its body weight, far stronger than humans.... but you can lift 10000000000000 beetles....

A 50 foot tall Giant is much slower than you.... but with one step from his own hoop to the off. hoop he is already there....

Do you get it yet? :)

Imagine a 6'0" Magic Johnson.... you really think he would be equally unstoppable?

A move can be more devastating if executed with superior quickness rather than superior strength/size. I'll take a small guy with a quick crossover over a big guy with a slow one... lol. depends on the move.

I know you've heard the phrase "speed kills".

I'm not saying tonys is waaaaay more effective than Lebron's but it's definitely on his levels.. he completely sheds defenders with it and fits through tight spaces to put himself in a position for easy lay ins.

what's effective about lebron's spin move is lebron steamrolling at you at full speed, has nothing to do with the execution of the move which is pedestrian at best.

kinda weak to put it on this list tbh

KAJ's skyhook is the single most devastating and unstoppable move in history. It's not even debateable. The guy was 7'2" and his release point was probably close to 10 feet.

No one mentioned Kobe's off balanced jumpers. In his prime, he was able get off that shot almost anytime and against any defense. Although he wasn't dominant at it, he sure had a way to sinking those shots consistently in crunch time.
