I'd be looking to trade Carmelo instead. The Knicks are going absolutely no where with him as "The Man". He's just a rich man's Rudy Gay. Big scorer, but terrible team player. Plus, he's already 30 years old which means he won't get any better than he already was. He's also getting paid $23 mill next season. Totally not worth it.

How many players can you say this about? Pretty much everyone but Lebron and MAYBE last year's Durant can outright carry team to a ship. And even they need plethora of help. Knicks aren't going to get better without Melo, just see how it goes. There are many other teams with much worse stars.

His defensive versatility is what makes me think he could fit the Knicks so well. He could play w anyone up front. The Knicks wouldn't have to go sign a center specifically or a pf. They can just get the best guy they can find. Wcs compliments his game almost universally
