View Full Version : I feel so bad for Blazers fans

Man, when you think about it that team should be a contender right now if they had a healthy Brandon Roy, Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge. Oden turns out to be a bust, Roy's career is cut short due to bad knees.

But the front office doesn't give up. They put together a damn good team with Aldridge, Batum, Lillard, Matthews, Lopez and they go out at the deadline and trade for Afflalo. And they look like legit contenders until Matthews is injured. They're still good but they're not legit contenders without Matthews.

What a shame though, I REALLY wanted to see Harden toy with him in the playoffs. I guess there's always next year.

Blazer would still beat Houston in a 7 game series without Wes.

I promise you, nobody in the West is looking at Portland and saying "We want to play Portland in the playoffs" but I'm sure a lot of teams won't mind running through Dallas and Houston.

Matthews is a 16ppg, lockdown defender, and with Afflalo now starting in his place, Blazers have no scoring off the bench. I'd say he was pretty vital to that team.
