33/10/11 over the last 16 games in only 36 mpg :bowdown:

Honestly, this is the best stretch over games I've seen from a perimeter player stats wise. This is more impressive than Durant's crazy run last year, especially the fact that Westbrook is doing this in, I'll repeat myself, 36 mpg. I didn't expect something like this out of Westbrook, and it's crazy to think he might actually be better than Durant (considering Durant keeps getting injured and will be rusty for the playoffs).

I don't think Lebron, Kobe, Wade or Durant have had more of an impressive streak in their careers. Anyone want to look up some stat streaks from those players?

Some 10 game stretches

LeBron 2012 playoffs: 33/11/5 on 53%
Kobe 2006: 46/6/4 on 47%
Wade 2009: 38/6/10 on 55%

Any 16 game stretches? Could you find minutes too?

The real MVP.

**** that Harden and Curry noise.

As much as Harden's game is painful to watch, his numbers have been crazy (Bron-like) and he's kept the Rockets elite without Dwight Howard all year. And Curry has been super elite all year as well with a crazy team record. MVP doesn't equal best player, and Westbrook has missed way too many games and his team record isn't good enough for MVP. Jordan didn't win MVP when he had 10 out 11 games with triple doubles.

Also insane is how Durant had the best numbers/stat streak last year, his teammate Westbrook is doing it this year, and the former 6th man Harden is top 2 in MVP. Stacked Thunder gonna stack.

If the MVP is somebody other than Westbrook this year, it's an asterisk. PERIOD.

How many minutes? I came in here expecting 06 Kobe, 09/10 Lebron, 09 Wade and 13 Durant.

This is perfect for what I'm saying. All these stats are crazy, but so are the mpg. Insane what Westbrook is doing in 5-10 minutes less per game.

Durant was godlike during his tear last season, better than WB now. He had a 16 game stretch of 37/7/6/2/1 on 68% TS...ridiculously efficient all-around play minus the Westbrick moments, and minus the late game issues. For as insane as Westbrook has been, he's had some less than stellar end of game performances. Durant was putting up the numbers and closing too.

If we wanna restrict it to 5 games, KD had a stretch of 40/7/7 on 78% TS...and the team went 5-0.

The real difference is when you extend the sample. Durant was putting up 35/7/6 on 65% TS....for 3 straight months. Whereas Westbrook before this streak had a 10 game stretch 19ppg on 36% FG.. Durant was essentially a freak for the whole regular season.

:eek: that TS%. Duran't scoring last year is kind of underrated all-time wise. How many minutes per game over those streaks? Probably 40+?

By the way how did you look up the numbers for that streak?

So the Thunder have the two best players in the league putting up legendary numbers, and used to have Harden who is top 2 in the MVP race. Pretty unbelievable they haven't won a championship over these last 3 years.

Now the Thunder have a stacked bench on top of the best two players and another semi-all star player Ibaka. No excuses again.

Agreed. 2 back to back MVPs on the same team. Even without HCA all playoffs, no excuses for this team. Easily the most stacked team in history. No ring this year would eliminate any possibility of either of them being top 100 all time. Just stating facts

Westbrook = 2015 MVP
Harden = 2016 MVP
