Lol if you draft Towns over Okafor then there is no playoffs chances. Okafor is more ready but Towns might have more potential. Kobe misses the playoffs his final year of his career if they pick Towns

Okafor and Towns definitely have the potential to be impact players right away, Towns moreso because of his defensive abilities.

Lakers also have Randle, Clarkson, Young + cap space to sign a big time player or multiple solid players...

Look at how stacked the West is.

I can see us being better than Utah, Wolves, Denver, and that's pretty much it.

Sacramento with a healthy Boogie is better than us.

No way we leapfrog the teams battling for that 8th seed out West atm.

As a Laker fan I gotta disagree..

Kobe is old. Two rookies aren't gonna take us there. MAYBE if we also sign another big name we have a shot at the 8th seed, but my optimism is still putting us at 36 wins at best.
