No one got as high as this guy. Has anyone else actually been able to get his head above the rim in a game situation?

You know you did an amazing dunk when the opposition's bench reacts like this.

lol his head did not go that high above the rim on that freeze frame that's just a cross-court camera illusion. The NBA shows that angle on replays for a reason. Because it makes it seem like the athlete got way higher than he actually did due to the moving subject (the athlete) being close to the camera's than the stationary subject (the backboard/rim).

Don't believe cross court camera's on dunk replays. Still he did get legitimately high though.

Never seen anything like that before. You look at dunks by MJ and his head was almost always several inches below the rim. Vince had a few dunks where it looked like the top of his head was at the rim. But to look down at the rim? Never seen it except that dunk.

For the record, I don't think Green is the best dunker because it takes creativity to be that. But just the sheere ability to get up, this guy takes the cake.

Very accurate thread. I blindly agree.

I'd argue that in 13/14 Green had a season of dunks comparable to anyone ever.

The other camera angle is though, you know which one I'm talking about. He's not legitimately looking down the rim on that play, his head is def about rim level though. Where's that pic that shows his head level with the middle of the square. That's the cross court cam.

You must be blind. Did you see the end of the clip where it clearly shows his head above the rim?

His chin is at rim and it's not even debatable.

Wilt had his armpit at the rim while catching a shot.

It's the camera angle. He can get that high but his chin was not rim level on that dunk. His chin being at rim level in that angle would mean that he is right next to the rim looking down but he was actually in front of the rim at that point making it look like he was higher than he actually was, due to being closer to the camera than the rim.

So are you guys disputing that any part of his head wasn't above the rim?

What happened to that player from Memphis a few years ago that could kiss the rim?

This dude. DJ Stephens, apparently.

You must be a real shit ball player if you are that athletic at 6-5 and you can't even sit on the end of the bench somewhere.

His head looks legit rim level, or nearly so from the in-game half court angle. Heck his forehead might be high enough to have run into it had he not taken off so far away for all I care. It's the "looking down" (as per the cross court camera angle) that I'm contesting. Heck that cross court cam pegs his head as being half way up the square it's just ridiculous and not an accurate representation of how high he got.

Fair enough. My orginal point was that some part of his head was above the rim. If that one shot you are referring too might've exagerrated the angle, so be it. Still doesn't change the fact that outside of Vince, I haven't seen anyone in-game make a dunk where any part of a player's head was at or above the rim.

It's rare, he got legitimately high for an in game unboosted dunk.
