Per Mike & Mike.

5 triple doubles in his last six games...

In those games, he's shooting 41% from the field, under 50% every game. He's shooting 25.9% from seep. His effective FG% would be 43.7%, the sixth worst in the entire NBA over the course of the season.

They're 1-3 vs the four teams they've played with a winning record.

His 5.5 TOPG would be the second worst in history over a full season.

With Westbrook on the floor, the Thunder are -36 points. When Westbrook is off the floor, they are +24.

he had one terrible game where he went full chuckbrook shooting 12-38 and 1-10 from downtown, you take that game away and his percentages are fine.

instead of comparing 5 games where one horrible game will effect the percentages why dont you show us the stats of his last 15?

He hasn't shot 50% on any of the six games...

I didn't make that up.

Shooting 44.2% over his last 15, it's not a great percentage but let's be real, he's not the type to shoot 50%+ (and won't be until his shot selection improves). He's my favorite player right now but there's no denying that he can turn into a real chucker, especially late in the game.

Yeah, his turnovers have been bad (on the entire season, not just the streak) but I don't think it's as bad when you see the company he's in for TOPG (Harden/LeBron) and consider how much he has the ball in his hands.

Even though there has been a dark side to his recent hot streak it doesn't change how amazing he is to watch.

And I haven't even been paying much attention to the stats, just knew he was dropping trip dubs like a part time job.

But man 2-7 when he scores +35 and 27-11 when he scores under 35 (or 23-11 or whatever).

I always felt that if you were winning the games, I didn't concern myself with FG%.

But they aren't winning when he's doing what he's doing.

why the arbitrary cut off at 35? is it because if you chose 30 points his record would be 11-8 and that doesn't fit your agenda?

These are Mike and Mike stats.

And, yes, ESPN has an agenda.

Why so focused on FG%? It's pretty useless, especially when he makes up those points at the free throw line.

Harden is shooting below 40% since the All-Star break, does it matter? No, because he is still scoring 25 points on 16 shot attempts.

Westbrook is shooting 44% and averaging 34 points on 25 shots. Shooting percentage is pointless, it's all about points per shot/points per possession.

Overtime loss and 2 games coming down to the final possession are a clearer picture of those 3 losses. He's dragging a roster that's nowhere as good as the Blazers to have a chance at a road win in the final 10 seconds? He's doing his job and doing it well.

I said I don't care about FG % as long as you're winning. Look up a post or two.

Well, they are 7-3 since the all-star break, so they are winning. They just having trouble closing out games vs playoff teams without Durant.

When the whole defense focuses on a 6'3 PG it's kinda hard, even Westbrook isn't unstoppable. OKC needs Durant a lot more. Same thing happened to Cavs without Lebron. You can't replace the best players in the league.

The dude is comparing a team stacked with talent like Houston to a team where the 2nd best player right now is Serge Ibaka :facepalm :facepalm

I mean Houston has Terrance Jones/Josh Smith/Corey Brewer and probably a few others I can't think of right now coming off the bench.

Again I have said this a million times OKC outside of KD/Russ is ****ing rubbish.

Hurry hurry, Westbrook c0ckriders, come defend him and disregard these statistics and facts!

I'm a Westbrook fan, but I don't turn a blind eye to the fact that he is not efficient and really doesn't do much to make his team better or create for others.

...except that he's leading the league in AST%/4th in APG, so it's not true that he isn't creating for others/making his team better. His problem is dumb shots (that usually come in the 4th quarter) but his teammates blow easy looks far too often. When he's not forcing it from the perimeter there really isn't anything wrong with his game, he just needs to improve his shot selection and trust his teammates more late in the game (though many of them are undeserving imo).

He's an extremely talented bonehead.

There was a play down the stretch of a recent game. Late fourth quarter of a close game he's taking the ball out underneath opponents basket and he tosses it to.......no one.

It's true. His FG% is never gonna be good because he forces a lot of shots. That's the only thing I find wrong with his game, he is too willing to take every bailout shot and his shot selection is ridiculously bad at times.
