View Full Version : Is Scott Brooks gonna ride the injury excuse again and go unfired this year?

Last year was literally the weakest excuse I've ever seen. The guy, like every year in the playoffs, was completely outcoached and made a myriad of complete stupid coaching decisions while failing to adapt, costing his team any chance at winning it all. Yet somehow his team based off of pure talent managed to take the Spurs to 6 games.
But all because Serge ****ing Ibaka missed a whooping TWO games in the entire playoffs, he goes by unscathed, taking no heat for all of the dumb shit he was doing in the playoffs.
Will it happen again this year?
I hope so. Durant to LA. Make it happen Mitch! :applause:
He only has a job because Durant and Westbrook like him. Dude can fail how much he wants.
No excuses.

Just because it's reported that they like him doesn't mean shit. Elite players want to win above all else and they are the type of players who would like basically anyone as the head coach.

It's not their fault they are loyal and not entitled douchebags that bump their coaches.
They are not guys that call for other people's heads. That's not their style.

It's not reported, you can see them do it publicly. They are defiant and get angry every time someone even questions Scott Brooks. OKC management isnt going to get rid of him when these players can leave in the next few years. What if the person after Brooks is even worse?
No excuses.

He will have a job as long as he has a contract.
Thunder ownership doesn't even like basketball and are cheap. them crackers are primarily concerned with extracting gas and oil.
Not one of them born whose asshole wouldn't pucker up tighter than a snare drum when you ask them for funds.

Didn't he just win coach of the month?

Of course he will. He has enough George Karl in him to know that each season is about getting another year down. Nothing is win or bust, it's always find a scapegoat.
Since he has lasted this long I'm assuming he either wins a title or gets to keep coaching after trading Durant or Westbrook and then the clock restarts. It was all from having 2 stars that don't match up. Give him another 3 or 4 seasons w just one of them.

Of course Durant and Westbrook are going to take up for Scott Brooks. He enables them to run their bonehead offense where they have complete freedom to chuck any shot at any time without any accountability whatsoever. Any undisciplined player would love a system like that.

Thunder owner is cheap, and won't pay two coaches at once. Brooks won't be leaving town until his contract is up.
