View Full Version : If--IF--it's Cavs vs Hawks in the ECF, who you got?

Can't stand Bron stans (notice I said Bron stans, not real Cavs fans) nor these Hawks fans that have trolled ISH this season. Whichever team wins, that stanbase will be intolerable until the Finals.

I'd probably go for the Hawks as their stans are slightly less obnoxious than Bron stans. Plus, whoever comes out West would destroy them in the Finals.

Lebron is overrated, but with Kyrie leading the way, it'll be a cake walk to get to the finals.

Cavs are insanely stacked, how much help does Kyrie need? :facepalm

Who has a second option as good as LBJ + stacked bench?

Cavs are scary good when they're fully healthy and focused. They're incredibly talented/balanced, they're developing really good chemistry..but when they play with consistent playoff focus and intensity, they're gonna be a nightmare. Hawks have been awesome this year and I'm not gonna disrespect them with the 1st/2nd round jokes, but I'm just not that confident in them beating Lebron/Kyrie/Love and crew 4 times out of 7.

They have a good shot though. They could very well get red hot at the perfect moment, like the Spurs in the finals last year. We just don't know. But the safe pick would be the team with 3 franchise caliber players.

No one in their sane mind would disagree with this.

It's the 2011 Bulls over again, nice Cinderella story and the clock strikes midnight.

A Hawks team modelled on Spurs philosophy and personnel, coupled with elite ball movement?

I'll take the Spurs team replica that crushed a Lebron lead team last season.

Odds are always in favour of a Lebron-led team. No question Cavs would win the series.

Cavs, though I'd like to see Atlanta's brand of basketball succeed. 4 obnoxious Hawks fans would be easier to tolerate than the LeBron family.

Gut feeling, Cavs. They're scary good when they overwhelm their opponents. Would not be surprised if the Hawks win though.

Cavs in 6...because Hawks will have homecourt. But if these are my only two options I would root for the hawks and probably go to a game.

I still think if Bulls get 4th seed they can knock off the Hawks if the Bulls are fully healthy (but that is a huge if right now)

nah lebron is the underdog yet again. hawks are one of the most stacked teams the nba has seen in over 20 years. when lebron wins this series and wins the chip, he'll be the undisputed goat.

Ever since they picked up their most valuable player (Mozgov), they've been on a tear. Hard to see any East team stop them.

Lol, not sure what Stephen A. is saying there, but there are lots of similarities between the Hawks and the '04 Pistons. Great coaching, great team chemistry, no superstars, and great defense.

We look back at the Pistons now as a great team with great players. But at this time in 2004, the Pistons were thought less of than these Hawks are now.

Do you ever have an opinion of your own?

Listen to yourself....

You're hating on teams/players because of a few trolls on a public message board....

If you dislike a player because of the way he plays, the way he talks, the way he dresses, etc, that's fine.

But because of his fans on a message board?

holy **** lol

Heart says Hawks, head says don't rule out LeBiscuit yet. I just don't feel confident about Cavs. One bad game, and James will get all emotional and fade away. Proof's in the pudding. as far as the West, it's OKC or Warriors, depending on which will keep it together. I'd really dig a Warriors/Hawks finals - it would make up for NYC's shitty tank season.

addendum: as I re-read this I started laughing with the thought of James on the bench with the screwface, and Kyrie, J.R. and Love jacking up 3 after 3 in futility. That shit would have me fall-down laughing HARD.

That series is more of Wade and Bosh playing like shit more so than the Spurs exposing LeBron.

Advantages??

Better chemistry, offensive system. Better defense. Better coach. Better shooting.

It's gonna take Bron going apeshit to win the series.

The Cavs did have Anderson Varejao soft as at center for a chuck. Their defense there is way better than it was at the beginning of the year

Atlanta is pretty good and i hope they win. but i just don't see them beating a team with three franchise players( including two top 1 picks and a player they got from trading another top 1 pick) and a legit bench.

There's just too much firepower on the Cavs team right now
