Think of it this way, CP3 is the best PG right now. CP3 was better in 05-07 than he is now and Steve Nash absolutely shit on him. Nash would be far and away the best PG.

The best, and those who think otherwise didn't watch.

Almost as high as a time traveled Bob Cousy.

But really, what team is he on? Phoenix? They're in the playoffs.

not good enough to be number 1 because defense, back then the pgs he had to go up against didnt had good defense either that's why he was the best pg during that span

They don't belong on the same scale.

Depends on what team he's on, and depends on whether management wants to build around him.

If you throw him on a team like the Grizzlies that already has a system in place. He's gonna look like a borderline all star at best.

But you put him on a team and completely give Steve the reigns to the offense he's going to be the best point guard in the league. Top 5 offense guaranteed.

this, nash would be in discussion for best pg in the nba if he played for the warriors much like curry. better passer but worse scorer. on a less offense based team like bulls or grizzlies he would be top 5 easy still but not the best of the best

Nash will be the best playmaker among today's PGs who generally have no clue on how to run an offense.
He will arguably be on par or just a step below Curry in terms of shooting.
He's pretty damn reliable in the clutch.
His one only weakness is defense.
He won't be winning MVP, but he's still top 3 in terms of ranking, and will probably be the hardest match up for most opposing PGs.
