I know no one likes the Clippers but they went in to OKC without Blake Griffin last night. And Chris Paul devoured Westbrook's soul like it was a half priced appetizer. He shot .579 to Westbrook's .357 and forced Westbrook into 10 TOs. Westbrook was completely unglued and took some of the most ridiculous 3s I've ever seen.
RIP Westbrook MVP candidacy. We barely knew you.

It's ok, Westbrook would rather win come playoffs anyway. RIP 2nd round, we barely knew you, CP3

CP is being judged on the success the Clippers have in the playoffs, not regular season games.

Yeah it has been awfully quiet considering the Russ chatter the last few weeks.....

I'm no CP3 fan but when Blake went down there was talk about how LAC could fall all the way out of the playoffs. Instead, Paul has carried them to a 9-4 record with a nasty schedule while avg >21pts and 13 asst. His domination of Westbrook was absolute.
Lets give Paul his due here. Even if it is just the regular season.

Appreciate the effort but no one gives props to CP3 on this board.
6ft, average dude dominating the league but no one cares.
They just want superheros they can prostrate themselves to.

Well thats kind of my point actually...
For the last two weeks you would swear Westbrook was the second coming. Then Paul destroys him; Like chopped his body up and sent pieces of it to the 7 corners of the world so it would never be found, and its crickets.

I think the main point of the thread is that "Goatbrook" went back to being the Westbrick we all know and love. Hogging the ball, jacking bricks, committing turnovers....

There's one on the very front page as well as already discussed in the gt.

Yup, but if it was the other way around, all these dudes would be going insane. Kind of hilarious to be honest.

CP3 is the best point guard in the league so it wasn't really surprising.

Exactly. I said that in the game thread last night. If CP3 got outplayed by Westbrook that badly, this board would have numerous threads and there'd be TV segments on Paul getting destroyed. Westbrook got beat both mentally and physically last night- totally owned.
CP3's kept the Clippers afloat in Blake's absence (with major help from DJ and the crew, of course) and he deserves praise for that. Dude's been the fifth best player in the league this year when most of us thought he'd slip more.
Also, his flopping has ruined his likeability amongst mainstream fans, but CP3 yaps to the ref no more than Westbrook (perhaps less). Nearly every dead ball Westbrook chirps at the officials about a missed foul or a bad call against him. But his unreal combo of strength, recklessness, explosiveness, and chucking has endeared him as GOATbrook lol.

Chris Paul is a truly great player. However, because of being flopper and a whiner, nobody likes him outside of Clipper fans.
Westbrook, on the other hand, is very likeable.

I prefer the times when CP3 devoured Durant's soul in the playoffs.

Not wise to mention CP3 and playoffs in the same sentence to boost CP3.
