I'm working the Sunday night.

I booked a Vac. date for the Sat. last week to be free for the draft...lol.

So, Mon or Tues would be awesome. Any time of day.

I'm fine with either of those. I'll let others in the league picking one then.

I had my first draft last night, didn't turn out too badly.

First time I've had the first pick in any fantasy sport. :oldlol:

Really strong lineup, but no batter backups?

I'm going to either drop or flip my weaker pitchers for a handful of hitting backups, probably two or three.

I've found that stocking up on pitchers generally works out better than doing the same with hitters (it's a pitching stat heavy league) because odds are my hitters will all play 5-7 days per week while pitchers will make 1 or 2 starts, making additional starts through extra pitchers more valuable.

The bottom tier pitchers I've got were also selected pretty late in the draft, the quality of available hitters at that point was terrible. :oldlol:

Having 1-2 bench batters is fine since you can deal with short-term injuries and odd days better that way.

A lot of staring pitchers could be bloating ERA and WHIP as well. Luckily, the league doesn't have WHIP.

Also, should have picked more closers.

True, I'm just waiting to see what I'll be able to trade for/pick up.

It's true that ERA can end up bloated, but at the same time the damage done by one pitcher having a bad week gets mitigated (iirc my team posted the best ERA in the league last season). I've found that it's a low risk, high reward strategy, as volume stats (wins, strikeouts, IP, PC, SV) work out in my favor.

Yeah, looking to trade for Chapman to bolster my team theme. :lol

Latos should prove to be an excellent late pick. He put up solid numbers in Cincinnati; you can expect an improvement in Miami's cavernous ballpark.

Joey Votto is the only player that's a legitimate necessity for me as a Reds fan, I had wanted Chapman but missed out on him in both my drafts as well.

I think only 4 teams should make the playoffs.

Yep. It was one of settings from the last season that I haven't fixed.

Thanks for reminding!

Jason Heyward being awarded an extra hit won me two extra categories. :lol

Gotta love stat corrections.
