View Full Version : Why does everyone all of a sudden think Durant will be traded?

Just out of curiosity, where is all this coming from? Why does everyone suddenly think OKC is about to up and trade its superstar, the franchise building block, and one of the top five players in the league?

Is everyone really dumb enough to think that would happen? Why the sudden surge in people saying this?

So you'd rather he walk in 2016 and get nothing in return? :facepalm

Mindless sheep.

Some guy starts a rumor and the flock of mindless retards start sharing their irrelevant opinions.

KD isn't leaving and he's not getting traded. Period. That's all that matters.

Oh he'll leave. But I agree, he isn't getting traded.

They're jealous that we have him for the rest of his career and they don't. Simple as that.

Best player in the world. On our team for the next 10 years. Deal with it.

Oh yeah, and this.

Fans of irrelevant teams always like to poke at the elite. OKC runs the NBA so you'll always have those jealous peasants throwing rocks at the throne.

I'd rather take that chance than outright trade him without knowing whether he would stay, yes.

Agreed. I don't know if KD will choose to stay with OKC or not, but I agree that he isn't getting traded.

No franchise is dumb enough to trade a player like Durant unless he outright tells them he won't re-sign. Not gonna happen.

If the Thunder get bounced in the 1st round this year, or even fail to make the playoffs... the pressure is only going to increase. Durant will be answering questions about 2016 Free Agency before and after every game he plays next season. If he refuses to sign an extension, I think the Thunder have to trade him, or risk losing him for nothing.

If OKC lets Durant walk for nothing, the franchise may never recover. They will become the mid-west version of the Sacramento Kings over night. Without a winning team, I have a feeling that OKC fanbase will dry up quickly.

He's already starting to break down, plus backed out of FIBA's cause he was scared to get injured.

Then you have him already lashing out from his instagram account for those saying Westbrook is better. Called dude a dickhead for suggesting it.

The servant won't be able to handle the pressure having to be better than Westbrook. He's gone.

Until he re signs we will see more and more of these rumours. Nothing to do with KD personally but it happens with most stars when they are an expiring contract on a small market team who hasn't won yet.

He is not gonna get traded in the offseason.

When he doesn't sign an extension, and informs OKC fron office that he will not resign with the team in 2016, then he will be on the block.

why would he sign an extension on this contract when he can wait for free agency and sign a gigantic contract worth millions upon millions more?

Durant is going to be a free agent, doesn't mean he's leaving just that he's going to go through the process

Actually I think he's the type of guy who would go to the FO and tell them he's leaving and give them a chance to trade him to the team of his choice.. Not sure if Bennet is smart enough to act on it, that's a whole other question
