:facepalm This dude is so beta. He even goes as far as blaming Wade and Bosh for allowing Lebron to leave.

Riley and the Heat still living rent free. :oldlol:

You should be grateful Riley and his FO, for handing two rings on a silver platter for LeBron. He really created who LeBron is today.

Guess that would explain why Lebron has his team locked into the 2 seed while Riley's Heat are struggling to stay in the playoff picture.
I wonder who needed who more? :yaohappy:

Remember when Riley was like "You can't just find the first door and run out of it when things get tough"

LeBron was like... bye! :oldlol:

Dude can never be top 10 all time after leaving Miami.

Beta players like Durant would let Riley guilt trip them into staying on declining teams, but not Bron.

No Bosh, and a past -his-prime Wade single handedly keeping this current Heat team afloat for the playoffa? I'd say it's been a successful year, no? :confusedshrug:

all things considered this is pretty funny... riley with all of his nba experience is having the hardest time wrapping his head around how beta lebron is.

Riley: "LeBron, wait! If you walk out that door, you'll never be remembered as one of the greatest to ever play the game!"

LeBron: "Dude, I'm already 2-for-5. That whole greatest to ever play the game ship has sailed."

Riley: "But, Lebron..."

LeBron walks out the door.

lol you kidding? While getting his ass whooped in the MVP race night in and night out last year Bran thought it'd be best to take the time to come out talking about how he belongs on mount rushmore and shit.

Riley blowing smoke out of his ass

"It would be like Magic and Kareem and [James] Worthy, they weren't going to go anywhere," Riley said. "They had come at a time when there were free agents. They weren't going to go. You think Magic was going to leave Kareem? You think Kareem was going to leave Magic? You think Worthy was going to leave either one of those guys, or [Byron] Scott or [Michael] Cooper? No, they knew they had a chance to win every year.
1. No, Magic and Kareem couldn't have left via free agency due to both of their lifetime contracts.

2. There was no free agency until 1988

3. Of course they knew they had a chance to win every year because the West was awful. But that had nothing to do with Kareem and Magic staying when the only way out was via trade.

He had no problem with free agency when LeBron was leaving Cleveland to join the Heat.

Cleveland was hardly a generational team and neither were the Knicks when Riley left.

Riles is basically saying dynasty-calibre teams shouldn't let themselves break up but this Heat team was a flash in the pan.

The Beatles broke up...so did the Heatles. It's why this situation was unique.

JT: Keep stroking LeBron's ****. Your forearm muscles will be better for it.

I was suprised he didn't break his foot kicking a garbage can again when LeBiscuit split for Cleveland. But it was ALWAYS Wade's team.

Didn't have the guts. After he got some rings as a hired gun, Bran the mercenary wanted his feel good hometown narrative too (one that will result in embarrassment when Cleveland doesn't win shit, and Kevin Love bails in the summer).

Single handedly?! :biggums: Nikka stop trolling. Wade has Dragic, Deng, and Wiltside. That should be more than enough to get a top 4 seed in an all time weak conference.

At the end of the day, Pat needs to stop talking about Lebron and continue to do what is best for our team.

Lebron did what he thought was best for him in 2010 and 2014. Wade did what he thought was best for him. So did Bosh.

And so did the Heat when we decided to cut Mike Miller.

Pat won rings before Lebron, and I am sure we will win rings after Lebron.

He's not having press conferences about it- he was asked about it in an interview and he answered honestly.

As a Heat fan, I would prefer he simply state: "I decline to answer any questions about current players in the NBA not under a Heat contract."

I would rather he spend that time figuring out/talking about how to get rid of Spo and finding a way for us to make the post-season.

Guy was just being honest about it. :confusedshrug: Refusing and/or sidestepping the question just makes him look even MORE bitter and salty.

One thing I will say though.. As others alluded to, Pat had no qualms with James' loyalty or lack there of when he signed him back in 2010; on some level he's got to know feeling a certain way about LeBron's departure is perceived as hypocritical.

Stop it. Dragic has played 9 games with Miami. Whiteside barely played at all until January. Half of the Heat's primary rotation wasn't even in the league to start the season. If the Heat get healthy and keep their roster intact next season, they will be competing for a top seed.

It is also hypocritical as Riley would be the first person to trade someone if he thought it in the best interest of the team...

See, Shaq.

See 2010 when he refused to sign ANY of our vets for a chance to sign Bosh and Lebron.

But as a GM Pat needs to look out for the Heat. He needs to understand that Lebron is only going to look out for Lebron and get over it.

He'd be hypocritical if he was real angry about it the way Dan Gilbert was. I mean, you can't expect the guy to not be disappointed. Pretty sure he had still wished him well.
