He had a hard time last year, will he repeat or he will continue playing great in the playoffs.

He's gonna play probably at least at a LeBron James-finals level

Hopefully Konex comes in this thread and comments "Yes"

has he ever had a good play off run? players who heavily rely on the whistle don't really do well in the playoffs

I bet this time he lights it up and the rest of his team play like shit. First round exit.

He wont. He had a bad run last year but has upped his game offensively and defensively. He will beast in this years playoffs. Plus his team will help him out.

Still a first or second round exit.

I'll know better when Dwight returns and they play a few games together.

He was good in 2012 before the finals.

I think this is the year he'll finally play well in the playoffs. Otherwise, it would completely diminish him being MVP (if he gets it)

As a 3rd option.

Being the 1st option yields a lot more responsibility and pressure.

I think his efficiency will drop just a bit, but he will play better than the last 2 playoffs imo. Either way i can't see them winning a series unless Dwight is relatively healthy.

No, he'll improve, and here's why.

It seems that Harden is more willing to take the midrange jumper this year, improved his step-back game. Portland managed to neutralise him by having the big man Lopez sag off on the pick and role. Lopez remains close to the paint, Harden gets a wide open midrange look, but doesn't take it cause he hates those shots. So he ends up driving in anyway, and Lopez is fulling prepared to defend the shot well.

This year, he's changed that. If Portland defends him the same way, Harden will take that open midrange jumper and make defences guard him.

Why do you even care you don't even have a hometown team to root for.

The problem wasn't his skills last year, it was his confidence, if he was right mentally last year, he wouldn't struggle. This year, it will also depend on his confidence, if he let his past playoffs performances get in his head, he will struggle no matter how skilled he has become.

This theory counts for D Wade also.

Harden can stick to his natural 3rd man role like in OKC.

This is now Brewer's team https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD76EaBrcQI , and Howard is always there as the second option in the post on offense.
