Beal was facing up and caught the defender in the face with his elbow. Back in the days this was a no-call, and the defender learned not to stick his face in the offensive players zone. Beal not only got called for an offensive foul, but they then reviewed the play, and called it a Flagrant Foul. :facepalm

fair too. hitting somebody in the neck is as low as it gets, and it's crazy dangerous. I'm all for a hard foul when needed but please hit the guy on the hand not in the eyes/neck/balls/back. Potentially injuring a player when a hard but sportsmanlike foul would be enough should be punished accordingly and with zero tolerance. This is a pro league after all.

That Beal call was awful, offensive foul? Sure. But really, a flagrant foul? ****ing ridiculous

I'm not sure but maybe It is a good idea. The team has shown the effects of fatigue and has been playing like shit lately. Memphis is in trouble, and maybe should forget the Home advantage and focus on regaining their best form for the playoffs.

Man home court is a must in the West. I always thought you should rest the players vs the good teams if you plan on taking Ls and then beat up the bad ones with starters.

Home court is pointless if your team is gassed. Prefer the last seed and make the playoffs healthy and in good form, than the second seed with the team in bad shape and some major injury.
